Country music thread

I feel like we as music fans need to have a discussion: do artists charge too much for merchandise? I know it’s not technically the artist that is setting the price, it’s the managers, etc. but 90 dollars for two shirts and a hat is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when I didn’t even get the shirt I wanted. It was darker than hell in the venue so I didn’t see it when Whitey’s merch salesman handed it to me (she was hot as hell btw) and the number on the shirt was “B” she must’ve thought I said “M” because she gave me the M shirt.

I mean, I would understand if it was a limited shirt like, say a tour shirt, or a special venue shirt, but it’s just the shirts you can get on their website.

Yes. Tyler Childers has a $45 hat on his website I want, but I can’t justify $45 for…well, a hat.

Although it’s not specific to country music, when I was into hardcore/punk, shirt prices were laughable.

I know exactly which hat you’re talking about lol I’ve wanted it for a while too.

Its expensive, but merch is a huge income stream for a lot of acts now that music sales are non existent. Not justifying the price overall but it keeps the bus on the road and the driver paid

Just like professional athletes and ticket prices, you’re worth what the market deems. Someone smart is figuring the best ROI prices and here we are.

BJ has been having a fire sale on AA merch as of late if y’all want cheap shirts, hats, etc.

Chris Knight and John R Miller at Lime Kiln in Lexington VA on my birthday. May need to go as it's probably the coolest venue I've ever been to
Will need to pass.on this as Chris is playing with Jason Eady the night before in Asheville, dont need a hotel room that way and less windshield time
