No Amanda Shires, and sadly, no Elephant, but good grief you will never go to a cleaner, better sounding show than Isbell. I’ve never heard a mix that clean at a live show. It was unbelievable. Vampires and Cover Me Up were chilling. Super 8 tore the house down. The guitar work is beyond masterful. Took 7 tries to finally get to see Isbell, but it was worth it. Paid as much for tonight as I did all three tickets to RTTR combined, but just hearing Cover Me Up live was worth worth the cost.

Can’t make this up if you tried. @Toujours Pret tells me he’s at Slims. I let him know I’m going to get something to eat. Walk down to a chicken place, walk in, see a few empty seats at the bar. Right beside BJ Barham. Start a conversation, a guy comes up to sit on the other side of BJ. It’s freaking @NochNoch. TP shows up, BJ finishes his banana pudding and leaves. Noch had figured out who we were and that’s no sh** how we met up for night one of RTTR. BJ was an absolute class act. Recommended what I should eat, we discussed the two nights of shows I’ve just come from, and a little about the band and this weekend’s shows. Wild

Enjoyed the hell outta last night, still very jealous you guys get two more nights of that but glad I got to experience one. Hope you don’t get kicked out of any more hotels, Bill.

Fortunately they let me check in early. About to nap and then prepare for night two. Was great meeting ya man.
