I really think the shooting/hanging stuff is symbolic and wasteful. For the real monsters among us isolate them, get them in the best health as possible then humanely put them down and part them out. We can medically use all manner of parts besides just the most commonly thought of like heart, liver kidneys.

At least this way some tangible good can come from getting rid of these people.

What percentage of crime reduction would you expect if it were inevitably going to eliminate the perception that Americans are not savages?

Not sure entirely ( let me research it as I believe this to be true but I have never studied to find if it is fact) . Making anything more visual has a lasting impact I know. We are already viewsed as savages from many in the world because of our policies. Public hanging is just as savage as pumping chemicals into ones blood to end life. Just as savage as allowing electrical current to flow through ones body until dead. Just as savage as a firing squad. Punishment is punishment. Being a "savage" just depends on your perspective.

Keeping one in good health only to allow harvesting of "usable " organs is more barbaric and savage then allowing them to die in a fast and swift fashion.

I 100% agree that being savage depends on perspective. My point is that American perspective is that others are savages, in part, because of how they treat their criminals. Everyone always talks about countries where they cut your hand off, etc. If we start killing the worst criminals the same way that those countries do, Americans start to perceive America as no better. To a certain extent, our superiority complex shows itself for what it is.

Maybe...but if we're talking about the kind of people I'm referencing I don't much care. Also, if we're talking about some rapists murderer and some good person that can use a viable heart...no, it's not even close.

I'm personally for the death penalty when there is no doubt as to what has happened,I say fire ole Smokey up and execute the death penalty as was given to them by a court of law

I would give them the option of picking how it is suppose to happen,a firing squad,a hanging (and no not a public one) or the electric chair

I'm against putting them to sleep then doing it chemically, but that is just my opinion,of course most criminals never think about a Death Penalty when there committing there crime,so i don't know if it is much of a deterrent or not ,but it should be enforced, instead of Politicians telling us they believe it should be enforced and then don't,when they get elected into being the Governor of the State

that has been going on for years, when was the last time Ole Smokey was fired up or lethal injection was used in Tennessee?

Politicians just doing what they do,lie about it and give lip service to it,just to get elected
