Craziest Football Season Ever!!!!!

all i know is we have to face woodson. what a nightmare that's going to be.

this seems as good a place as any to ask, so i'll ask. Living in JC, i've been told from numerous sources that Graham Spurrier has admitted if Tennessee wanted his brother, all they have to do is ask. Anyone else heard this?

I'm still not sure why UT would want a coach at the end of his career(even if it is Spurrier). If a coaching change is what the program needs, Spurrier would seem like putting a band aid on a broken leg to me. He'd have at best 5 years in him IMO.

Is it unreasonable to suggest that the "upset of all time" has set the tone for this season and emboldened the hearts of many an underdog? I think we're seeing the grinning ghosts of the Mountaineers in games all over the place now. It's a strange and fascinating season.

I think it is more that, other than USC and LSU, no one really is as good as some of the top teams have been the last few years... We are about to see an awful top 5.

College football is starting to resemble the NFL as far as parity goes.

i wouldn't think winning a couple of national championships in that 5 year period would be band aiding anything.

i've talked about the spurrier debate til my ears have bled... 5 years and a couple of SEC Championships and a possible NC, I could care less if he only stayed 5 years.

But that's not the point. I was simply asking if anyone else had heard the rumor.

He only won 1 national title at UF in the '90s. What makes you think UT's current roster is that much better than any roster UF had in the Spurrier era?

Fair enough.

But to answer your original question. No, I haven't heard anything about that rumor

Conversely, maybe we should be glad we're not playing Ark St today.

Nice of you to say that but we are a few years away still from being in a position to have a chance to beat a BCS school. UT would have to play pretty crappy against us this year, even though we are good at the mid-major level, to have a shot at you guys.

He also had to play 95 nebraska for the title the year before he got the one he has.

95 nebraska is considered by many to be one of the best cfb teams of all time
