Illinois' Democratic Gov. J.B Pritzker celebrated Tuesday when his state became the first in the nation to eliminate cash bail.

The state's top court upheld a 2021 state law that eliminated cash bail and ordered that it take effect in September, clearing the way for the state to implement one of the most sweeping bail reforms in the nation.

Wannabe Las Vegas rapper who allegedly kept his kids in cages posted pics of cash, flashy cars

Travis Doss, the Las Vegas man accused of beating and locking his children in cages, bragged about owning exotic cars, spending wads of cash and pimping while his family starved and lived in squalor.

Doss, a wannabe rapper who goes by the stage name “Trap Montana,” used his music and social media posts to boast about spending “bricks” of cash and living a “hustler” lifestyle.

“Everywhere I go, I keep me a strap. Everywhere I go, n— yell trap. Callin’ ’bout your ho, you can’t get her back,” rapped the 31-year-old in his music video titled “Exotic.”

In the video, Doss also handles what looks like an automatic rifle, which he playfully strums like a guitar.

The flashy lifestyle he portrayed on his social media is a far comparison to what Las Vegas Metropolitan Police found when they entered Doss’ one-bedroom extended stay apartment last month and found two of his children locked in a dog cage. Police also rescued four other children and two dogs who were left alone in the filthy apartment.

Travis Doss showed off his cash on social media, while police said his children starved.

A total of six children— ages 2 to 11— were left alone in the apartment with the dogs, living in filth and without food, investigators said.

Meanwhile, cops said Doss’ 11-year-old, who was locked in the cage with his 9-year-old sibling, was severely beaten and emaciated.

Doss’ wife, Amanda Stamper, is also facing child abuse charges. Stamper, who is the biological mother to one of Doss’ seven kids, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in a jail interview her husband was a “monster” who made her work in the sex industry.

An 11-year-old Wisconsin boy charged with killing his mother after she allegedly refused to buy him a virtual reality headset has been found competent to stand trial as an adult.

Quiana Mann, 44, was shot and killed at their home in Milwaukee in November 2022. Her son, who was 10 years old at the time, and has since been charged as an adult with first-degree intentional homicide.

Prosecutors say the boy shot Mann after she refused to buy the boy a $500 Oculus VR headset, and then used her credit card and Amazon account to buy the device.

The sad part is this really doesn’t surprise me, or the kids who run wild and then kick their parents’ asses when they become teenagers.. I am willing bet at no point was it established ‘I am the parent, you are the child… I’m not your friend, we can be friends when you are a grown up too’ … we recently were on a cruise and witnessed a kid in a stroller screaming at his parents and throwing food.. maybe the kid had problems or whatever, but I’m sorry, that still isn’t acceptable

The boy allegedly bragged about possibly killing Richneck Elementary School teacher Abigail Zwerner, newly unsealed warrants allege

Newly unsealed search warrants reportedly reveal the shocking words a 6-year-old Virginia student allegedly uttered after brandishing a gun at school and shooting his teacher in the classroom.

"I shot that b---- dead," the boy said on Jan. 6, 2023, just moments after the shooting, according to Amy Kovac, a reading specialist at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia. Kovac rushed into the classroom afterward and restrained the child until police arrived.

Their teacher, 25-year-old Abigail Zwerner, also dashed out, bleeding from the hand and upper torso before she collapsed in the front office and was rushed to the hospital. The warrant says Kovac went into the classroom where she found the boy standing by his desk with the gun next to him on the floor.

Massachusetts Girl, 10, her Grandma, 52, and the Family Dog are Shot Dead by neighbor who burst into their home and opened fire during cocaine binge before turning the gun on himself

A 10-year-old girl, her grandmother and the family dog have been shot dead by their neighbor on a drug-fueled rampage before he killed himself.

Aubrianna Lynn and Kim Fairbanks, 52, were shot by 34-year-old Victor Nieves after he went on a cocaine binge in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Monday.

Fairbanks died after she was hit in the head, while Aubrianna battled for her life until she died in hospital on Thursday.

Nieves, who lived in the apartment above the family, also shot Aubrianna's 12-year-old sister, who survived, and killed the family dog before shooting himself dead.
