I don't know what's more preposterous. That 3 high school basketball recruits all have the exact same writing style, that BTO took the time to transcribe their texts word for word, or that we're supposed to believe those are real text messages in the first place.

1.) What about it is so similar? Pretty good use of the English language? (See #2) You can't tell the exact writing style, much less in less than 160 characters.
2.) Maybe they actually learned something in English class and try to use proper language in texts. You don't know.

Or maybe the OP thought I actually care what 3 17 year olds think of my opinions of CCM?

Well, since so many people are so certain that players hate playing for the guy, and you have 3 recruits talking about how much they want to play for him and standing up for him, shows that the posters are wrong. Maybe now with some insight, the ridiculous comments can cease a little.

Can also verify with calban. Seen the website and everything. No reason for him to make stuff up.

How does comments from three players that arent playing for Zo prove that players like playing for him?

The site doesn't exist anymore. He isn't a part of the media. He is a mid 20's man saying he is in a group text with highschool d1 prospects.

Older guys have always tried to be a part of the lives of younger athletes. Bto isn't the first or last and probably means no harm, but its not right. If that's my son and under my roof, its not happening. Especially on the stage they are on. They just had a UT fan post supposed texts on a national board. We aren't supposed to know who the 3 are? Highschoolers not yet on campus calling out fans, via text, thru Bto, to VN. Comical.

Honestly, for several reasons, I hope Bto is making it all up.

CM does seem like a great guy. That makes him easy to pull for personally. We just fired a football coach that was hard to like and couldn't coach to boot.

Being a great guy makes it more difficult for your superiors to let you go but at some point you have to prove you deserve the job. CM has yet to do that and his candle is burning at both ends.

This post is gonna fall on deaf ears, or blind eyes, but I feel like posting it and really don't care the backlash I'll undoubtedly get from some.

Where to start with this one.

1. Sometimes the level of complaints and concerns get overblown - it is the very nature of this website. It is for airing the good, the bad, the ugly --- including dirty laundry.

2. Most on here love our Vols, admire our players, and like and respect our coaches.

3. Whom among us would not go to war with Stokes, Richardson, Moore and the others that Give their all for Tennessee.

4. I think universally the feedback I hear is that everyone wants Coach Martin to be successful and they like him. Having said that - people observe and analyze - it is part of their role as fans.

5. This team is at times poorly coached - the coaching needs to improve. Coach Martin followed a pretty good coaching staff and there are expectations and standards anyone would want and expect.

6. The 2014 recruits will go a long way to making or breaking Coach Martin's tenure. We have been short a point guard and we have missed on a few recruits. It is monday morning quarterbacking but if he takes the kid from Knoxville that plays point at Minnesota - we would have won 3 or 4 more games this year and we wouldn't be having this discussion. This team is capable as we have seen of playing very well.

7. This team is also capable of playing very poorly.

8. Jordan McRae is entirely the key. He is poorly coached or poorly guided.

9. Why must every game we are behind in end up with JM going one on three - working to shoot a fallaway 3 pointer with a hand in his face. The second half against Florida McRae was 1 for 7 and there were periods where the offense broke down as everyone was standing around watching Jordan working for his shot.

10. It's the coaches job to manage the team and have them play unselfishly. It's hard to watch when our offense doesn't cut and pass or distribute and reverts to street ball - but not just street ball - bad street ball - where there is no passing and shot selection is horrible.

There is still time to play the way we were playing when we beat Virginia and LSU - but it will require good coaching to get there.

Those recruits should be pretty fired up that they might get to play for Coach Pearl next year.

IMHO unless we see drastic improvement with this team, CCM is on borrowed time at UT. The only question that remains is who our next coach will be at UT.

1. I'm not much older than them.

2. I built and ran a site that covered recruiting for Tennessee. Part of my job was interviewing recruits. I gave it up because I didn't have the time to dedicate, but that doesn't change the communication I had with the 2014 prospects.

3. I didn't try to communicate with them first asking how the felt. They texted me expressing a concern they had, I relayed the message, that was it.

Cool story, Briscoe.

This thread is just...I really am at a loss for words. I hope that you aren't doing anything to hurt their eligibility. There is being a fan and then there is being a fan that can take it too far and get players and the program in trouble. Please tell me you didn't have them over for a bbq.

Giving BTO the 3rd degree because you think he's lying and want Pearl back...gettin' thick up in here.

Try posting something negative about Martin and BTO wants a link to prove it. He has been caught stretching the truth many times and we all know to what extent he will go to promote the religious worship of his savior Martin.

I think it's important to note that the "Bring Back Bruce" drumbeat began the moment Hamilton let him go, mostly because fans realized that the coach who took UT to the greatest heights ever in basketball was going to be hard, if not impossible, to replace. So, Cuonzo was not even part of the equation when folks began feeling the void left by Bruce Pearl.
