Crompton will start

OrangeSquare, I'm sorry to disappoint you with the infrequency of my posts, but unlike you, some of us enjoy a full life outside of an internet message board. You should try it sometime. To suggest that I only post here after losses shows a serious level of ignorance.

Oh? Let's revisit some of your pearls of wisdom.....

5 passes thrown and 3 dropped balls. It's nice to see that our wide receivers came to play today.

I guess it's a good thing that I don't give a $%&@ what you think, VolinArizona.

I guess I should be like all of the idiots on this board that worship at the feet of a redshirt freshman quarterback...

If Ainge doesn't play a snap, we're going to get blown out in this game.

If Ainge is so fine, then why is there a need for more X-rays and a possible MRI. Excuse me for being skeptical, but I think they're just trying to squelch any panic until they actually find out what the true status is. I don't think they really know how bad it is yet. If they did, they wouldn't be doing these additional tests. There are plenty of bad things that could show up on an MRI that don't show up on X-rays. Without having done an MRI yet, they're just blowing smoke at this point.

Ooops, guess you missed that prediction Miss Cleo.

This is the same sorry a$$ defensive front that we've had all year. We just haven't played many teams with the ability or the commitment to the run to expose us. Spurrier has always been able to expose our defensive weaknesses, and he's doing it again.

When you can't physically dominate a team of the caliber of Memphis at the point of attack when it counts you can be guaranteed that Georgia and LSU are going to kick your butt bigtime.

MISSED ANOTHER ONE CLEO.

That's embarassing. We continue to be an absolute powder puff of a team. We are unable to get tough yards when they count.

THIS WAS IN THE MEMPHIS GAME THREAD...... ROFLMAO.

Oh, and this classy post concerning Inky.....

I'm not happy that he got injured. I'm not happy when anyone gets seriously injured. However, what has he done to deserve face time on TV? This guy is NOT a stud player. Hopefully he'll be a stud player some day, but he isn't yet.

You've lost it. That prediction was absolutely correct. Fulmer came out immediately after the game and said that Ainge would be fine and would be able to play against LSU. Then, they found out that the injury was more severe than they first thought. As it turned out, Ainge played a few possessions before missing the rest of the game and now the rest of the next game too.

That quote is true too. Getting injured doesn't elevate a player's performance on the field, and pointing out that fact doesn't show a lack of class. Inky was not a stud player. Hopefully he will fully recover and perhaps he will develop into a stud player in the future. Regardless of whether he returns or not, I wish him the best.

Yep. I missed the prediction on Georgia, but was correct on LSU. Georgia's offense turned out to be far more inept than I had imagined.

With Erik Ainge out at QB, a totally inept running game, and a total inability to shut down the run defensively, we're staring loss #3 square in the face this weekend against Arkansas.

We are unable to run and unable to stop the run since the second game of this year. This is true. Fulmer has been talked about our running block game after game, but I was disappointed game after game after game. On the other side, our running defense failed to stop anybody, and we will face the best running offense in this conference.

Based on what we have seen in the last 8 games, it is hard to expect a sudden redemption on both running offense and defense. I have to say, we are the underdog right now, and probably will lose the game.

Hopefully, I am wrong.

Yeah, Crompton threw into coverage a few times, but you can do a lot worse than hanging it up in the air in the direction of your best receiver and putting it where only he can catch it.
Exactly. If you have a playmaker like #3 you go to him and go to him often. Remember P. Price in the SEC C'ship and NC games in 1998?

This one is VERY TRUE. We are a powder puff of a team. We can't get tough yards on the ground when they count. Hell, we usually don't even try to get them on the ground anymore. We pass the ball instead. We also can't stop the running game of our opponents. We are soft. We're a powder puff of a team. We need some serious help on our offensive line and in our defensive front seven for next year.

Even though Crompton threw into double coverage on that one TD pass, it was a very nice throw and catch. He dropped it right in there. As for the other TD pass, it was a great pass that led Meach right into the endzone. Watching the replay, that ball went up and then took a nosedive right into Meachem's hands.

I think that Cromp will be fine if he can handle the crowd.

You sir are wrong. Tennessee in the recent past history plays lights out on the road and I believe that Chief wil adjust to the Hogs one dimentional run offense..

Also, JC didn't show us how he can handle the road game, how he can adjust himself in the ball game and how he can make the right decision under the critical condition. We will see on Saturday.

True, I believe most people here would believe this.

Oh, was he trying to be sneaky?

I don't know . . . MAybe he's being genuine . . .but it's exactly the kind of a-hole thing I would do though if I was posting a link on their board. :)

Denial. There's a lot of it around here. Having a good passing game is great. HAVING to pass because you have no ability whatsoever to run the ball when you need to do so sucks.

As my teenage daughter would say, whateveerrrrrrr. The point in this game ain't our running game, it's stopping their running game. Chief will make the necessary adjustments, mark those words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
