As my teenage daughter would say, whateveerrrrrrr. The point in this game ain't our running game, it's stopping their running game. Chief will make the necessary adjustments, mark those words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's done SO well so far this season.

I heard similar comments last season when I accurately predicted that we'd lose to Alabama and South Carolina, get blown out by Notre Dame, and then go on to lose to Vanderbilt. How did those predictions work out?
I also enjoyed the, "UT will get blown out by LSU if Crompton plays the majority of the game" prediction from last week.

Nice try, but I never said that. If you're going to quote somebody, then you should get it right.

If Ainge doesn't play a snap, we're going to get blown out in this game.

:eek:k: And Ainge's contribution was the reason we did not get blown out...

The only reason Ainge even played a snap is that CPF was heeding 423's prophecy.

Exactly... those 3 possessions and -5 total yards contributed heavily to the Vols keeping it close.

We lost the game with Crompton playing the majority of the game. Quite honestly, I'm not sure what the effect would have been had Crompton started that game, and you don't know either. With that being his first bigtime game, he could have very easily become rattled when his wide receivers dropped the first three passes that hit them squarely in the hands.

I agree, never know. On to the next one and see how Crompton handles it from beginning to end.

Come on Vol423 make a prediction on this upcoming game so I can place my wager (in the opposite).:)

(True story about Winston Churchill; despite being a great war leader he was terrible investor and would have gone bankrupt, except he was befriended by a young investment banker in New York who would let Sir Winston pick out investments then he would invest his money just opposite).

Yeah, I can't believe that after he threw the go ahead TD pass with 7:29 left in the game that he didn't go in as a DB and help stop LSU from scoring with 9 seconds left. What a wimp!!!

I think he will do fine from what I have read about him he seems to have a good head on his shoulders, so I think he is more than capable of getting the job done

We HAVE to step up our running game. Too much pressure on Cromp is a bad thing right now

We have not had any success setting up the running game in the last few games, and I don't see that happening now.
