Now if he can put some lotion on those hands to make them softer. He's been dropping passes in spring practice. If my mind is correct. He did that last year in games. I hope he has worked on that part of his game. He has such great size.

He did improve as the season progressed. North / Croom, Pig / Wharton and Pearson / Malone... WRU all the way!!!

Hope this kid can finally put all the pieces together this season. Really pulling for him but there is just too much there physically not to dominate/excel in his position.

Every time Croom is in single coverage, they should throw a jump ball his way 15-25 yards down the field. With his size vs the average SEC CB being 6' or less, Croom should deliver on those over 50% of the time and should never give up an interception.

What's your son's impression of the team in this year's spring practice compared to last year's spring?

I assume and hope things have moved on from the transitions with coaching staffs and your family and son feel tighter and have more trust with the team and coaches this year.

He could be the most physical wr(imo) at UT since Kelly Washington.

Is Croom going to be David Martin 2.0 or a real contributor at WR? I hope he figures out how to dominate DBs this year because we really need playmakers on every level of our team.

My prediction is he'll be 2nd or 3rd in receptions behind North and possibly Pearson. Good problem to have either way. Croom in the redzone could be nasty!!!

Croom was really showing his potential in the UK game. It's a shame that he got injured during it or his performance (already great in that game) would've been even bigger. It's also a shame a lot of Vol fans don't recall or perhaps didn't even watch that game - a lot of our players showed how much they'd progressed from the experience gained over the course of the season as well as their potential in that game.

Croom was putting everything together in that game even on the play he got hurt, showing big time playmaking ability that I look forward to seeing from him this year.

Croom improved a lot last year. His blocking doesn't show up on the stat sheets or highlight reels but he is a great blocker. He will be a solid contributor this year. I really like our receivers.

Croom has everything it takes to become a great one for us so don't count him out.

His size and skills are awesome and he just needs to learn more and keep his focus trained on every play.

I think all this added competition is going to bring the best out of Croom and he's going to surprise alot of people.
