'22 CT DT Jeffrey M'ba (JUCO)

Keep in mind that English isn't his first language. He's articulating his thoughts the best he can, but what comes out may not come across exactly as he intended.
I have some Greek family, married into my wife’s side, and if you didn’t know them, you’d think they were the biggest A-holes you’ve ever met! They just come across different and word things different sometimes.
GBO!!

So a JUCO kid is really gonna try and say he knows more than coach Garner? I think coach G sat down to talk to him and didn’t like some things he heard. There is no way Missouri just straight up our recruits Garner for this guy. Something is up with this dude.
My guess, there’s a reason he’s a JUCO, and IF true, this could be a big reason why.🤷‍♂️
GBO!!

I really hope he was miquoted here. At his age, to honestly think he knows more than CRG about what it takes to be successful..... I'll take "very rude awakenings" for a 💯 Alex...

Not always a case of another program "beating" you for a recruit, sometimes the recruit simply outsmarts himself...
He was misquoted. That’s someone interpreting something he said could be entirely wrong in that interpretation. This kid could be a great kid and great football player to boot, just may not have felt he fit here.

Kind of wish someone would modify that post to reflect it wasn’t a direct quote.

Is rather a guy be up front with our coaches than string them along and leave them hanging on NSD.
GBO!!
Agree entirely. And I think that recruiting will evolve bc of the portal. Used to be you could promise these kids the world until they were locked into a commitment, now it’s more important than ever to shoot them straight, identify talent and keep them in the program and out of the portal. Get the ones not contributing into the portal and onto a program where they can contribute.

These NIL deals where kids are getting paid ridiculous money are going to blow up in several teams faces.

As a JUCO guy myself, I feel personally attacked haha
Nothing wrong with going the JUCO route, it’s a hell of a lot further than I made it. Sometimes guys develop late, sometimes kids don’t put in the work, sometimes kids don’t want to go to class, some kids just flat out slip through the cracks, lots of different reasons, that’s why I emphasized “IF.”
Please don’t take it as an attack, just an uneducated guess or observation on my part.
GBO!!

I have zero problem with a guy being a man and telling our coaches he just doesn’t think Tennessee is a good fit for him. A lot of these guys play too many games during the recruiting process, so it’s kinda refreshing if this is how it really went down. This is the definition of “respect my decision!”

You seem certain it was a misquote. Why? How do you know that’s not what he said?

Said the same a few pages back, who knows maybe we decided to go another direction and this iss his way of gracefully bowing out.If it ain't a fit it just ain't a fit and we go on to the next one.The whole *we didn't want him, need him or he doesn't love us so kick rocks is a little bit much I think.

I don't know whether or not it was a misquote. But as a bystander in this thread watching. I am not sure it was and not sure that it was not.
But........
Watch his twitter out brief and basically he is hard to understand and does say or does not say what he means. Can't really tell because ENGLISH is a Second Language.
Second, this is recruiting 101 ---- another School wanting him may have twisted his words.
Third, NIL Deal who knows
Fourth, No Telling what RG told him
Fifth, He maybe afraid of competition
Sixth, stated that he just started playing Football and I would assume he is a work in progress.

So do I aSSume he was misquoted No Have I read it in context yet, No point me to it on Paper, Has he signed yet Don't Know.
Who knows who we will get Nolan, Verse or others

IOW don't fret over this until it happens.....Too many fish in the Sea.

I stated several times it was my interpretation of his actual quote.

Edit: maybe you were talking about his actual quote.
