I thought Turnage was just a regular transfer, but Hadden was a JUCO that transferred after one semester. No reason all 3 of those guys couldn't do the same. We'll take all of them.Would these guys even need a release under the current rules? Didn’t we get Hadden and/or Turnage last year under the same circumstances?
I wonder if Auburn is at the front end of a decade of utter irrelevance and disfunction.
Sounds a little like 2010...
- Fired long-time coach who was a consistent winner, but didn't win enough for the fans
- "Super coach" replacement gone after one year
- Hiring a replacement to the replacement at an odd time of year in a panic when there aren't many viable candidates
- Tons of players transferring out
- Unstable class coming in
Let 2 and 3 happen first, then we can talk.I wonder if Auburn is at the front end of a decade of utter irrelevance and disfunction.

Yes, they would need to be released from their NLIs. 247 doesn't show them as enrolled yet, so I'm assuming they're enrolling after the Spring. We couldn't take them as transfers because SEC rules stipulate that in order for a player transferring from one SEC school to another SEC school to be eligible for the one-time transfer rule, they must have entered the portal by February 1st. Since this is relatively new, I'm not sure if there is a waiver process in place in a circumstance where a HC gets fired, but we've already passed the established deadline.Would these guys even need a release under the current rules? Last year being the first year of the one-time transfer rule, the SEC extended that deadline to June 1st (or was it July 1st? can't remember), which is why we were able to get Hadden and Turnage. The deadline went back to February 1st this year.
