Meanwhile, two of my three kids have bought turntables and are now out hunting for vinyl to add to my old ones. Three and a half year old grandson now hooked on Allman Brothers Band (the original.) I’m very proud.
I can't believe all the "new, expanded" vinyl of stuff we listened to in 60s and 70s that is available now. And the prices, geez. After seeing what;'s in my son's collection, I'm thinking about moving into his basement for 6 months so I can hear it all. I mean live shows and alternative versions of stuff I never knew existed.
I have --- incredible stuff. Had to supply son's need of rare Prince vinyl,, unusual Kinks stuff and expanded Replacement reissuess. He has Chilton and Stones vinyls I had never seen before. The updated Matthew Sweet LPPs are incredibly beautiful just to look at. I''m pleading not guilty if they turn up missing when we return to the wish-I-could-forget bama land next month
