Great after a long run or bike ride to avoid/treat cramps. Other than that it’s an overly excessive amount of salt
If you're like me and don't like pickle juice or pickles: I keep packets of mustard or a small bottle of mustard with me. I'll eat 3 or 4 packs or take a good drink out of the bottle after a long hike or workout. It's a good source of turmeric, magnesium, potassium and acetic acid

I don't like olive oil mayo personally.

I don't make it often because Hellman's is perfect and has a much longer shelf life. Raw egg mayo ain't sitting in my fridge over nite.

That said, I do make a little on occasion for a treat.
Duke's or JFG for this southern boy. but I agree with your other statements.

Why do you like Dukes better than Hellman's?

I like Dukes for sandwiches because it has dijon mustard, but for everything else I like Hellman's. Hellman's contains lemon juice for extra acidity, it contains whites and yolks of eggs and will hold up to heat better (think potato salad at a picnic) and contains no food coloring and it crisps better on bread.

I don't dislike Dukes. Unless I taste each by themselves and not mixed in with something like tuna salad, I can't tell the difference.

That said I only keep one in my fridge and I choose Hellman's.

It's a taste thing. I just love the taste of Duke's and JFG better. They have a richer, deeper flavor to me. Maybe more fat content in them? Not sure. Hellman's is really similar, but there is something different about it. Don't get me started on Miracle Whip though... ugh, just pour sugar in your mayo... same thing.

Maybe that's why you prefer Dukes. Although I personally can't tell, but Hellman's contains sugar to enhance the lemon. Maybe your taste buds pick that up.

We never had Duke’s Mayo around the house when I was growing up - Mother was a Miracle Whip/ margarine fiend - but she loved Duke’s relish (sandwich spread.) It’s mainly carried in the East, and she couldn’t buy it in Memphis, so whenever I’d visit, I’d have to bring jars of Duke’s relish and bacon grease. (She doesn’t eat bacon.)

They add a bunch of calories to any already high calorie piece of bread, but otherwise it's a healthy choice. Enough protein to fill you quickly.

Check it out.

Carli sends me emails 3-4 times a week since ordering that oil I had my doubts about. Interested in info on something else on their website, I ended up on this!!! Boon!
