Culinary, Arts, Thread.

The weight is pretty much the only advantage and I'm too old school to be interested. I'm by no means against them. They're solid imo.

I just bought a 10" lodge with the silicone handle holder for $22. That's a good deal.
I logged into regular Amazon and got mine for $18. When I logged into smile.amazon, it was $22 plus. They don't do nuttin fo free.

I was just thinking about herbs and thought I'd remind some of you to plant some garlic if for no other reason than for the scapes. They grow fairly fast and you can just cut off a little at a time so they last forever.

I'm reminding y'all because I just remembered myself.

Did I already mention Orange Lifesavers Mints? If so sorry for mentioning them again.

They are addicting.

Asparagus lasts forever too. I planted some years ago in various spots in garden beds. The other day I was cutting the grass and saw several spears nearly two feet that seemed to sprout overnight in the back yard. The stuff is taking over

Interesting, I've never grown asparagus.

I normally spot them but admittedly have hit a couple. Mint is also spreading in my back yard. Those little bastards take over like noting else. The air smells like spearmint gum when you mow over the plant.
Yeah, I've got some chocolate mint that's really evasive.

I haven't paid attention to the Dr. Seuss thing. Anybody fill me in with one or two sentences on what the issue with him is?

I had a set of these in the mid-70s. Best damn pots and pans I ever owned.

In some areas they can be invasive. I have a patch and when I mow, I'll break off a spear or 3 and eat them raw. Dey good!

Yeah
My daughter eats the asparagus from our garden raw. She has been doing that since kindergarten. Sometimes we gather about 7 or 8 spears and add them to a spicy pork stir fry with garlic. Great stuff!
