Culinary, Arts, Thread.

Back when I had Comcast I used my own modem & router -- I just felt the hardware I could buy would be much better than the crap they lease. But I've always been confident enough in my technical ability, if anything happened that required remediation on my end, I could fix it. Recently I checked Comcast's policies for modem rental vs owning, and now they're moving toward not providing the same technical support if you own vs renting. Wtf. Just trying to suck the last penny out of customers trying to save a few dollars.
I still hate renting, but there was something to be said for plopping the old stuff down on their counter and walking out with new (no scratches etc., and appeared to be in original boxes.)

This is great!

The amazing thing to me, as someone who did their skiing in the late 50's and 60's, is that she's being pulled by a pontoon boat. Those things never had any power back then, certainly not enough of a burst to pull a grown man (or the way we skiied - four adults) out of the water. It was all noisy ski boats. Basically just floating shells with seats and a (relatively) giant motor in back.

My uncle had one like this, complete with the oxidized red paint:

I think this was our final one, although not in this weird color. Ours was (oxidized) aqua. I used to crawl onto the curled-up ski ropes under the bow and sleep after too many hours on the ski (easier to ski on one than two):

Yep. It took her 6 times to finally get up, then she skied til she wore out. Lol. He said about 15 minutes.

This is what I learned behind...

My brother said she said it was the best time she'd ever had, and she has spent alot of time on a 3/4 million dollar Boston Whaler out in the Gulf of Mexico fishing, jet skiing/kayaking in the Gulf and on Sanibel Island. That's amazing to me.

Then I got to thinking, that's probably why it's my favorite place on earth because the best memories I have in my 59 years on his earth, were either on motorcycles or on that lake. I'm sure there are pictures identical to that one of her with me and my brother.
