Those I could recognize!I made the ones before that yesterday. Pretty much Roasted onion Alfredo.
No it was just a test run, I did them in a small hotel pan. The Asiago bacon I'll definitely do in my 8" Lodge. Those I could recognize!Did you make yesterday's in cast iron? Looks like they had a broiler hit at the end. This looks like something worth tackling as the cold weather sets in. Nothing like the smell of roasted onion filling the house.
Would it work with sweet onions or red onions? I never see large yellow onions any more., except briefly in summer. Seems like the sweet would be too mild, and maybe the red too much. I love red onions but they do tend to muscle their way into overall flavor. I'll live either way.No it was just a test run, I did them in a small hotel pan. Guy that gave them to me said you could plant them here, but they probably wouldn't survive. It'd take south Florida, or southern California type of weather.Yep
They are really good. Ate bags of these things in Thailand for the first time decades ago. I tried to sprout the seeds here but didn't have any success.
My MIL lives in the west knox area near us now. She has successfully kept papaya trees living here in East TN by simply moving them indoors once the fall arrives. Papayas thrive in a tropical environment for the most part. I know a lot about temperate fruit trees but hardly anything about tropical trees.Guy that gave them to me said you could plant them here, but they probably wouldn't survive.
