14. 49 pts in 3 games against Fla. More losses that were worse due to his coaching. Just snuck into the tourney with 2 all sec players and all sec defender. He needs to stfu and win, or gtfo.

So. A very vocal contingent of fans want him gone on this forum. And when Cuonzo essentially calls you out, you cry like a *****. The BB forum is quickly becoming a cess pool much like the football forum.

Since there seems to be a group that almost wants Pearl to go t auburn and turn them into a powerhouse...I can't help but in some way wish to see the reaction of Martin leaving this year, Hart hiring a nobody, and Tennessee missing the NIT the next 3 years while Pearl has auburn competing for the national title.

Yeah, but you said specifically Bray. Bray got slightly less trashing than Dooley did.

On top of that, I'm not sure "and Co" got that much love. Hunter was trashed his junior year for "being soft". The defense sure as heck didn't get any love.

Why is Cuonzo commenting on fan support? How bout be focusing on how to create some offense.

He needs to be real careful with what he says. I don't think he can back it up. Those fans he's thanking now are close to becoming black curtains in TBA.

He's in a no win situation with a large portion of the fan base, the only thing he can do at this point is just win games.

I agree that at this point he just needs to win games to keep his job but as a coach who depends on attendance to keep his job he should not be making statements that can be turned against him. If he is upset that fans wanted a better season then maybe he should have coached the first 3/4 of the season the way he did the last 1/4.

The problem is football fans who became basketball fans when Pearl came in and treat college basketball like a football season. We were projected to finish 3rd in the sec and we did. We're not better than Florida and we're not better than Kentucky. When you play two games a week for four months you have good games and bad games. You lose some you shouldn't (A&M) and you when some you shouldn't (Virginia) despite what you think, it's been a successful season and the team has improved ten fold since November which is what you want to see. Quit screaming for a coaching change after every loss and realize we're not an elite basketball program and be happy with being in the tournament and enjoy the week. It's an accomplishment making it to the NCAA.

Dude you know exactly how that will play out. They'll still whine that Hart didn't get Pearl.

What would be funnier is if Martin left, Pearl goes to Auburn and does nothing, and someone like Howland goes somewhere and tears it up.

Hart - You are fired. You are losing the fan base.
Cuonzo - What if I make the tourney?
Hart - Chances are, we will barely make it in. TN needs better security. And that's not good enough for me or our entire fan base.
Cuonzo - "I'm really happy for our true fans -- the ones who have been behind us the whole time"
Hart - Good luck in the tourney but we'll be looking elsewhere.
