Cuonzo's downfall: lack of leadership at point guard

point was he is a non shooting, not highly recruited guard that has the ability to get to the rim in their offense, while we have potential NBA players that have no space or system to get a good look or lane to the rim in halfcourt sets or pick and roll situations.

Oh I know. Still picking that spur(KY loss) out of my hind end.

Either way, we end up at the same place, unfortunately.
Perhaps...but I'd also argue we'd have 3 to 4 more wins this year with Trae than we have with Barton/Thompson.

While he had his liabilities, especially on the defensive end, he would occasionally have enough point production to carry the team. Currently, if Stokes or McRae have an off-night, with the exception of Richardson, there are no others that step up with a potential big game. Golden would've been that guy.

like I said, you could argue that. Problem is we only have what actually happened to go by and Trae cost us key games down the stretch when he was in la la land on both ends while taking us to 2 nit tourneys. He could've/should've helped us win 3-4 more last year, but didn't. Why would that change? He's losing, turning it over and getting benched at GT as well.

Just saying that he would've been a better PG for this team, this year over Barton. Nothing more, nothing less.
