You still haven't answered my question, stokes had 6 last night and fouled out, so how'd we beat a top 25 team?

And no those picks weren't only preseason, those picks are current.

you are using 1 game that they won and im happy they won.they found a way to get it done.Did they find a way to get it done in the 3 loses ? you can think Wichita St was as impressive all you want but they are not. What happened in the 3 loses ?

Tried to give you a hint but didn't work.
You will eventually activate the grammar police if you keep saying loses.

So in other words you're saying the team appears to maybe be trending upwards and improving? Maybe the learned from their losses and fix a few issues?

What happened in their 3 losses? They couldn't score, not just stokes, but everyone. We settled for outside shots and jumpers, we rarely drove the ball, and the biggest thing we played SLOW. Against Wichita State we drove the ball more aggressively than any game under Martin. We also ran the ball more than we have about the last year under Martin, really tried to push the ball which led to a few easy buckets. We put up almost 70 points against a team who arguably is the best defensive team we've faced all year and hasn't given up more than 69 points all year...so we were doing something right.

Like I said above, I'm not saying this is a final four team, but I don't get those posters (like you) saying this is a "bad" team. They are 5-3, will likely be 8-3 after the next 3 games and then a matchup verse memphis awaits. To me this appears to be a 19-20 win team, what is it you think they are? By you saying bad you make it sound like they're a 13-15 win team. (wait are you the poster who said in another thread they'd be lucky to win 13 games this year)

Im not trying to argue with you or anything.I know Tn is missing Maymon bad and I hope they have learned from all this.I just thought they would look better than what they are and it has nothing to do with Stokes or Mymon.I really thought our guard play would be better than what it is.

I think we were led to believe (hype in the off season) our guards would be better this season.
Ball handlers they're not.
Shooters - not so good either.
For us, WS was a great win, maybe because we've been so bad but the experts would agree at this point because it jumped our rpi about 80 pegs.
How much we improve or continue sucking this season is on the coach.

What would you say we are right now?

I say a 19-20 win team that gets into the tourney as a 9-12 seed.

Is that honestly unrealistic?

I'm not suggesting we're a final four team or anything, but people using the words "bad" team or this team "sucks" i just don't get. I see them as a NCAA team, and IMO if you make the tourney you aren't a "bad" or "sucky" team.

Its not unrealistic to call this team a tourney team. That is a realistic goal. Prior to Maymon's injury, I think Sweet 16 was realistic. Now, I think making the tourney is a realistic ceiling for this bunch.

I wish I could have made it over today for the second day of the event. Huntington Prep plays Jacksonville (FL) Country Day. Johnson Central (KY) also plays (2014 PF Shane Hall).

Ok and that's fine, but can you answer my question...what do you mean by "bad team". You said 13 wins right, is that what you think this team is headed towards?

Not bashing I'm just honestly trying to get an answer. Maybe your opinion of bad is 20 wins and a first round NCAA tourney loss, and I'd agree with those expectations, just not the definition of "bad team".

Ok, and that's about where I see them. 19-20 wins, top 5 in SEC and a NCAA tourney spot.
