Curt Maggit?

I don't think I've heard his name called one time in the first 2 games which surprises me. Has he been on the field most of the time and is just ineffective or has CBJ just been playing him sparingly?

His name has been called a few times and he's been on a number of group tackles. Had a shoe string tackle on Knighten and has had some pressures.

Had Leonard Little on the show this morning. He thinks it's more of a shaking off rust issues. Said Maggitt seems to be a bit hesitant and that should change as the season moves on.

He's gained a lot of weight, that is going to effect his explosiveness a bit, he is also playing a bit with his hand in the dirt, something he hasn't done since high school. There is definitely a learning curve with how to use your hands, etc with his new position. I've re-watched both games a couple of times, focusing on Maggitt quite a bit, and he is in on a lot of the plays but is just barely missing on making impact plays right now. He's not the same player he was and he is having to learn to adjust to that. Janceck said during Utah State week that he is having to work himself back into game shape.

I hate those answers... GBO

Some of y'all just can't handle the truth.

He was a fine prospect coming out of high school that has been injured often and is pretty much invisible while on the field.

I'm sure he contributes, gives his all, is a good teammate, and has plenty of qualities that are beneficial to a football team.

Is he an impact player? No. He never has been and more than likely never will be.

Or he was an All SEC Freshman who has a ton of talent but hasn't been able to stay healthy.

i think maggit, lane and randolph are all guys who havent been played as much as they will during the meat of the schedule. i think weve used these last two games as a warmup for our young guys and some of the vets have been reigned in a little. i expect alot more out of all three this saturday. especially lane. i think he gets the lions share this week because hes still, for the time being, the better back. but the coaches have been trying like hell to get hurd up to college speed so theyve been handing it to him alot more. same with maggit. weve seen alot of weathered and lewis because theyve needed the reps more. plus maggit is somewhat injury prone and had had a sore ankle i think.

The 99gay-duh troll probably won't shut his drooly mouth until his but buddies are whooped out of Knoxville. Don't respond to him fellow VFLers. I know it's tempting to take the bait, but "ignore" is far more effective.

The sad thing is that you're serious.

He has all the physical tools to be successful. He may be a little less instinctual than I originally thought but he will make his share of plays when he gets comfy at his knew position.

I think he will be a 3-4 LB at the next level. Similar to Parys Haralson
