Cool story bro:

Still on the road working in Huntsville. Have my youngest son with me, whom I've turned into a rabid baseball aficionado now. We are both repping our Vollie Finger jerseys on a quick Walmart run before the action today.

A lovely lady stopped us in the produce aisle and says, "Kirby fans?" I'm like, woah....how do know Kirby.

"My son played with him."

Wow...who's your son?

"Blade," (she shoulda dropped the mic right there,) "Tidwell."

Such a pleasant lady and an awesome meeting. I'm happy to report he's still getting paid to play a kids game.

Best of luck to him and his family. Made our day.

IMHO since my Day 3 pick was a survivor you can't be eliminated for a Day 2 casualty. That would require either a Terminator or BTTF time machine.

Are we picking against games tomorrow????
There will definitely be 5+ games tomorrow ... could be as many as 9 or 10

Scheduled Games tomorrow:
Duke vs 10 Coastal
5 LSU vs [Sam Houston / Oregon State winner] (1 or 2 games)
12 Ky vs Indiana
TCU vs [Arkansas/Santa Clara winner] (1 or 2 games)
2 Florida vs Texas Tech

Possible games tomorrow:
15 Alabama vs BC - ONLY if BC wins the current game 2nite
8 Stanford vs Texas A&M - ONLY if Sanford wins - Sanford up 6-4 in 2nd
Xavier vs Oregon - ONLY if Xavier wins 2nite
DBU vs Oral Roberts - ONLY if DBU wins - down 4-1 in 3rd XXX
Southern Miss vs Penn - ONLY if SM wins 2nite - tied 1-1

We will NOT be picking games on Monday. In the Regional, you win three straight and you advance. All our remaining survivors did just that. On to the Supers where you will only have to pick on the first two days. Remember, the teams you already picked are burnt'ededid. You don't get to pick them again just because we are advancing to the Supers.

I have avoided picking my final four. We will see what the leprechaun suggests.
When I was typing my earlier post, the annoying little twit was saying, "It's a waste o' your time."

I believe the schedule is for super regional games on Fri though Mon (maybe extended for weather delays) next week.... same rules for next weekend (F-Sa-Sun picks)?

You only have to pick on Friday and Saturday because Sunday may not be a full slate of games. Just like the teams, you need two wins in the Super to advance to the Survivors CWS. Must pick Friday and Saturday. No picking on Sunday or weather issue Monday.

thanks.... this sounds WAY more organized than the ncaa super regional site selection criteria... the only day with a "full slate of games" guaranteed is Saturday. no offense just gotta to bust some balls over here for my VN cred.

Am I missing the fact that not all games are Fri-Sun? If half of the games start Thu or whatever and half the next day, we will run it thusly:

You must pick a winner from the 8 game 1's, whichever day you choose that to be. If you survive you then pick a winner from the game 2's, that haven't started yet by the time your first pick wins, of course.
