It is not mandatory that a team designate a hitter for the pitcher� If the starting pitcher is listed in the batting order, the pitcher automatically becomes the DH� In this case, the pitcher is to be considered as two players, both the pitcher and DH (P/DH) and can be substituted for as such 4) Pinch hitters for a DH may be used� Any substitute hitter for a DH becomes the DH� A replaced DH (including a P/DH who has been replaced as DH) shall not reenter the game in any other capacity�

Absolutely they were. Attempted the extended rehab route vs surgery early on. Just didn’t work out. Still won’t keep the nega recruiting in check. Nor will it keep a lid on drivebys…
