And in 92. My first yr at the hill. We needed IGa to beat Fl but of course FL won and lost to Bama in the SEC championship game. You can’t trust Florida to do anything to benefit Tennessee. It has literally never happened lol. Remember 2016 in football and them pulling that game @ LSU out of their rear to keep us from having a chance to win the East…of course then Vanderbilt happened
Thanks for the well wishes.
It’s just tough to play two games in a day, it may have been different, if y’all could have played last night.
The Sec has proven that any team remotely on the fringe should be let in regardless…that goes for any team with 12-13 wins going forward until proven otherwise. The second best conference had their crack at the Sec and went 0-5.Florida underachieved during the season, but overachieved in the tournament. It's the first Florida baseball team that made a run without being an obvious threat when the tournament started.
But, the pitching wasn't/isn't nearly good enough.
Having said that (and it's not because of the run that they were fortunate enough to have made), I never thought there should be a question about them getting in. Not with some of the other teams making the tournament with the schedules they played. People also forget Florida made the tournament under the same circumstances in 2013.
I get the argument the other way, but I didn't feel like it was garbage that they got into the field.
We don't always get the best two teams in the Championship round, but I think that's what we have this year. I can see it going either way. Since we only played them once, I didn't watch much of the Aggies this season, but they have looked great in Omaha.Saw some nice baseball last few days, now it down to the last two teams. Our 7-4 W in Hoover over the Aggies gives us a hint how this will end. GO VOLS!
Sorry it was garbage and you can’t convince me otherwise. Your team made a run the semifinals and only finished with 36 wins and 6 games over .500. That’s all that needs to be said. Enjoy the the championship from the couch.Florida underachieved during the season, but overachieved in the tournament.
