D4H's 2017 College Football Season Preview

That were always gonna lose once. They are still my favorite to win it all.

Georgia will be your 2017 national champion.

I've made a lot less predictions this year and still have more correct than you. In fact, I only made one prediction this year.

He'll get out of the way this season. Our great assistant coaches and players will lead the way. Bob Shoop's defense will be dominating. Top 5-10 nationally. Larry Scott is also a huge improvement over Mike Debord. Plus with better health, our high talent level will finally shine. Especially on defense where we have a lot of future NFL players.

Why did I even go back and read this? GAWD... I gotta give VOLNATION a break for a while, this team is under my skin. Freak...it's not you, ok?

edit: I was thinking the same thing D4H did, or at least had hope that this could happen. I am actually sad he was wrong, but dang.. he was wrong!

2018 College Football Playoff

4. Alabama (11-1)

Heisman Trophy Winner: Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma)

CFP Semifinals: Alabama defeats Michigan (Rose Bowl); Tennessee defeats Oklahoma (Sugar Bowl)

CFP National Title Game: Tennessee defeats Alabama

I just wanted to bump this laughable failure.

We can add Notre Dame to the next on your list of jinxes.

I predicted before the season when they were coming off a 4-8 season and most everyone else thought they would be garbage that they would go 11-1.

No shame in Notre Dame going 10-2. I'm still more right about their resurgent season than everyone else. I would say that was a great call on my part.

But you were more wrong about other teams so it evens out. Show some humility

At least I'll be right about Baker Mayfield being the Heisman Trophy winner. I called that when everyone else was talking about Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley.

Sure a guy that pads his stats on no defense Big 12 teams like Ok St -- Heisman had been a joke since 1997

Not the biggest stretch picking a guy who plays in the BIG 12, thrown for 3700+ the last two seasons, and finished third in voting last year.

In fact in February of this year he was the favorite

Lol, D4H probably thinks Tim Tebow has a good batting average if he's touting how good he is at predictions.

Everyone else? Dude, you are the one that started a thread about how Barkley is the greatest running back in CFB history.

I don't consider the Heisman Trophy an award future great NFL players win. That's why I never touted Saquon Barkley as the Heisman winner for this season. I knew the award would go to a guy with a limited NFL ceiling like Baker Mayfield.

That's when I didn't know better. Just like when I thought coaching was not the most important factor in college football. Butch Jones incompetence taught me that no amount of talent can overcome terrible coaching.

Similarly looking back at the history of the Heisman trophy taught me that future great NFL players don't win the Heisman. Especially in the last 25 years.

The list of football related facts that you were unaware of is shockingly long. Yet you touted yourself as some kind of savant.

You're like someone who declares himself an expert in astrophysics, and then is shocked to discover that the Earth is round.

You mean like a month and a half ago, when you claimed we would beat Georgia badly and still doubled down that we'd win the SEC and National Championship?

Took you an awfully long time to learn....almost like you only learned it when it was clear you were going to be completely wrong....

I know talent. That's the only thing I've claimed expertise in.

I've never changed my opinion on the talent level of our players and their NFL prospects.
