It was the timing for me.

He didn't need to pile on immediately after that SC debacle.

He also chimed in with some specific game commentary.

"They just flat out kicked their butt. They showed up, executed incredibly well and (Spencer) Rattler, I mean, he was hot. Those receivers were hot, and that daggum No. 3 (Jaheim Bell) and how they were using him."

No s**t Dabo. Everyone watched the game and saw what happened.

And apparently his message, whatever it supposedly was after that backpedal, didn't take with his team given that they got beat too last weekend.
