Blocking the plate has been technically illegal forever. They need to just announce that they're going to start calling it to take it out of the hands of the catchers. You can't block any other base; there's no reason the plate should be different.

Tigers streak has been crazy (although they haven't needed a Waffle House to kickstart their run :p). Also it's been nice to put an end to the "Believeland" mess. Their fans chanting "Detroit's bankrupt" when they can barely fill 40% of the stadium for a playoff contender (and at least a third of the people there were Tigers fans) is cute.

Cleveland saying anything about Detroit is pot calling the kettle black. Granted, I am very biased to Detroit but it is still 10x's the city Cleveland will ever be.
