I’m almost as distraught as when Emerson and Solomon transferred…but not there yet.
It's been tough. Barely fell asleep last night as soon as my head hit the pillow. Fought hard all way through till 6.

I'll try again tonite.

Well that kind of sucks to be honest. Thought he made a good contribution.
I prefer to view it differently. When we see a guy like this transfer out, it's a sign he's been recruited over and that we've upped our talent level. It's a good thing IMO.

Indeed. I take this as a sign that the early impressions of Omar Norman-Lott have been very positive. Also worth mentioning that Terry was recently listed as third string on ourlads.com. He has some talent no doubt, but I do remember hearing questions about his work ethic in the past.

He was probably the 5th or 6th DT, especially with Omar Norman Lott in the fold. If Hobbs is playing 3 technique, then he probably would have been behind him. Could have been worthwhile depth in case of injury.
He would have started alongside Omari. Those two were killing opposing o-lines as the season wore on. Hopefully His family pulls through thier circumstance(s), and I'll be pulling for Him personally.

Totally agree. Hate losing Terry and McNeil. That’s substantial experience and solid play gone. Will miss both these guys but I understand and wish them much success. They were a big part of a special team this past year.

Terry could play but I like our Memphis guys (Thomas, Bryson, & Simmons). We're still a big team on the inside. Coach Garner has given a lot of praise to those 3. When u add in the transfer and freshmen class we'll be fine. Best of luck to Terr though.

I am not disputing your point -- well said, in fact -- but isn't Simmons a Nashville guy, rather than a Memphis guy?

Simmons definitely needs to show out this year. Been waiting on him.

Transferring due to family issues. Not depth chart related at all. Has nothing to do with playing time or someone else being better.

It seems we have some conflating info about DL Elijah Simmons who DID play at Nashville's Pearl Cohn with that of this young man DL Dajon Terry who was from West Tennessee.
