Dan Mccullers leaving for draft a possibility

This coaching change could turn into a total nightmare for us.

We could lose 90% of our best players if they don't like the new HC or our players don't think they'll be a good fit for the new O and D systems the new HC plans to use.

Some may try the NFL but I'm more worried about how many might transfer out of UT and go play at another school.

What if our entire O line decides to leave?

What if our best D linemen leave?

What if AJ, Maggitt, McNeal, Randolph and several others of our best young kids decide to leave?

We could end up winning as many games next season as kenSucky won this season.

Only 2 wins is pretty near rock bottom and we haven't fallen that far down yet but we could if we don't get this HC hire done right.

I pray things go right but I badly fear that things could get much worse for several years before they get alot better.

VFL...GBO!!!
One of the most insane and out of touch posts I have ever read. Just nuts.

I guess I missed all of this awesome NFL talent.
Hell the entire junior class should just declare! Red shirt sophomore's too. What a bunch of awesome studs!

This is the part of constant change, or fear of change, that the team absolutely does not need. A new coaching staff my help moving forward. But, it may devastate the existing team. These athletes are competitors with pride. Not all of them will make the correct decision, but I can't blame them if they move on. After all, they are young adults.

The right hire can make a lot of these guys with draft potential a lot more money if they stick around. Kiffin even got Crompdaddy drafted. After 2008, no one saw that coming.

Not surprised. Everyone is talking James when I felt McCullers was more likely all along

There is no pro level talent on the defense period. Size is not a pro talent because in the pros everybody has it.

I'd bet we have a couple of guys who will get drafted eventually. The coaching was just so bad that it is impossible to truly evaluate the defensive guys.

i already stated in my opening post on this thread mccullers said he has taken care of business in the classroom and has good grades so this is not a problem for him.

The players were bad too it wasn't just the coaching. NOBODY on defense had any speed. You must have speed to play in the pros.

Not to worry....the secondary guys will be back. But really would like to see some new blood back there (speed).

Well said except for AJ....Considering where our "D" ranked this year; what pro-scouts in their right mind would have any player at the top or even middle of the draft. He have a better chance of Big $$$ winning the powerball than making the pros at this point.

saw where big Dan was interviewed after the game said he is weighing all options and gonna talk with his family and make the best decision. said he will meet with new staff to see what defense they are going to run.... hope he stays for his senior year. also said he was doing well in his classes.

What NFL team can afford (to feed) him????
