Dan Mccullers leaving for draft a possibility

Well said except for AJ....Considering where our "D" ranked this year; what pro-scouts in their right mind would have any player at the top or even middle of the draft. He have a better chance of Big $$$ winning the powerball than making the pros at this point.

AJ who? Johnson  . Boy can't cover. Against passing teams he is a hell of a liability. The NFL is largely a passing league.

I agree, but considering the lack of coaching he has had I believe he can improve drastically with some good coaching. I hope so anyway.

The only NFL type talent we have developed is on the offensive side of the ball. Don't see many, if any of our current defensive players, ending up drafted this year. Could be wrong, but just not very likely.

For those "hoping" some players leave, you may want to remember how much of a turn around Crompton made with a new staff.

It can be recruited however. And recruits can EASILY be overrated. He did lead us in rushing td's though. A switch may be in order.

Sunseri's linebackers covered just fine the last few years. Talent and ability can not be coached.

Sal was DC not LB coach, I know he spent some time with LBs but a majority of his time was spent on other positions DE Dline DBs. Also he did a terrible job

I am as positive as positive can be that Patterson and Sentimore are gone. Rumor has it that they are not doing well in class and would be ineligible next semester anyway.

I have a feeling that Hunter and James are gone also.

Rivera, Lathers, Dallas Thomas, Zack, James, Patterson and Hunter will all make NFL rosters. Waggoner, Wilks, Teague will not make NFL rosters.

Lathers has absolutely no speed and will NOT make an NFL roster. Did you watch him cover on pass attempts this year? It ws laughable. Also a bit small.

McCullers , AJ and Maggit if healthy all will be NFL draft picks. The ones saying they won't are the same ones saying Hunter and Bray won't be drafted. The ones who don't know how the NFL work. The NFL cares about measurables and potential. And AJ is not too slow. He is twice as fast as Brandon Spikes and plenty of other NFL lbs.

saw where big Dan was interviewed after the game said he is weighing all options and gonna talk with his family and make the best decision. said he will meet with new staff to see what defense they are going to run.... hope he stays for his senior year. also said he was doing well in his classes.

No way he leaves..would be lucky to be a 6th round pick.

He's not by any means first or second Team SEC but he is 6th in the country in tackles...that alone speaks for itself.

James said after the game he would talk to his family, meet the new coach ,but if Pittman stayed it would be a big positive on his decision

I was playing some xbox with him and Cody Pope, and Cody asked him if he was going to leave. James said he's coming back, doesn't matter who the new coach is. But like anybody he could always change his mind.

Alabama's linebackers had a good secondary behind them. AJ plays hard and I believe he will improve.

Alabama's linebackers (taught by Sal, who was AHC/OLB coach) were taught to read the play and get into their coverage responsibility. The secondary has their own coverage job. If you help AJ with a safety you are one on one outside (which Bama doesn't do very much and Sal tried not to do, but to no avail).
Since our backers and corners could not cover, our defense was easy to read. Just see who was single covered and take your pick. Everybody needed help in coverage on our defense, and the safeties can not be everywhere. Can't disguise anything when you can't cover at any position either. The "help" players have to be in position to help before the snap or it is too late.

Tyler, Patterson, Hunter and Dallas Thomas are the only ones who will get drafted fairly high. Others would benefit to stay.

This coaching change could turn into a total nightmare for us.

We could lose 90% of our best players if they don't like the new HC or our players don't think they'll be a good fit for the new O and D systems the new HC plans to use.

Some may try the NFL but I'm more worried about how many might transfer out of UT and go play at another school.

What if our entire O line decides to leave?

What if our best D linemen leave?

What if AJ, Maggitt, McNeal, Randolph and several others of our best young kids decide to leave?

We could end up winning as many games next season as kenSucky won this season.

Only 2 wins is pretty near rock bottom and we haven't fallen that far down yet but we could if we don't get this HC hire done right.

I pray things go right but I badly fear that things could get much worse for several years before they get alot better.

VFL...GBO!!!

we won ONE SEC game.....if 90% of our best players leave, then that adds up to 1! CP is the only 'best player' we have....after a few years mediocrity starts to look good doesn't it?

We really don't. We have been bad for a few years and our fans see a decent play and think NFL for everybody. Turned into 2002 Miami up in this piece  .

Oh but we really do. We have several NFL talents. We had no coaching. I have said this all season. The talent is here, they have not been developed. If the NFL scouts want to take a chance on developing them, there are about six players who could go this year
