Dan Mullen to Dallas?

I'd swap Grantham for Charlie Strong in a heart beat.

Maybe. I like Strong, he’s been DC for some all-time great Gator teams. Good man, good family, good coach. But my only hesitation is these new offenses and new schemes v old school coaches. Strong is as old school as they come. I haven’t followed him closely enough in recent years to see if his defenses have evolved with the times. We got a glimpse of what can happen with Randy Shannon a few years ago. Old school, running the same defense he played in and coached, in the 90’s and 00’s and it was the worst defense UF has fielded in about 3 decades.

If you don’t land someone who has been exposed to the Joe Brady’s and Lincoln Riley’s of modern football, you may find yourself in 50-point shootouts every week.

Not sure how I feel about McCarthy... gonna take a few days to process. I guess it's an upgrade over Garrett.

Def a "meh" hire. No one really cried when GB canned him....not sure why he's the flavor-of-the-month now.
It's just hard to know what he gets credit for. Sure, they had success with him but Green Bay was successful before him and they have been successful since.

UF should cut their losses now...hell McElwain won the East twice and beat Kirby Smart.

Mullen is a hack.

0-12
Let me ask.

Would you rather 10-2 team that won the east or didnt?

It's not the end all be all but to downplay it speaks of moral victory.

Basically I see a shorter stick for not reaching Atlanta than reaching it and being embarrassed.

I’d rather Dan Mullen coach my alma mater’s football team than Jim McElwain.

Two East titles during the weakest point in the division’s history doesn’t change that.

Mullen is a much better coach than either McElwain or Mushchamp... no doubt about that. Too early to tell if he can overtake Georgia, especially with how incredibly well they are recruiting right now (landed CB Kelee Ringo over the weekend) but Florida's days of inconsistency and a losing season here and there are over.

This can't possibly be stated enough...I could go on for days, but if you're one of those people who talk about the fact that McElwain won two division titles and Dan has yet to win one, you're football ignorant, and possibly just ignorant.

I'm still convinced that if Demps had caught that swing pass, he would have housed it and it would've been a much different game.

Uh, no.

Bama spent the entire 2008 off-season and 2009 season prepping for us.

We were fat, dumb, and happy...content on being defending national champs, undefeated and ranked #1 all year, in spite of how beatable we looked at times with Addazio as our OC. Not to mention the early onset of Urban’s “personal issues” were underway.

Then our best pass rusher gets suspended for a DUI a week before the game, and we run out of the tunnel wearing white helmets. We were as distracted, unmotivated and unfocused as any UF team I’ve ever seen.

Pirate?...LOL, you're probably right, but I prefer using that dropped pass as a stand in for all the glaring issues that finally caught up with us in Atlanta...Truthfully, I haven't watched a single frame of that game since the night it happened.

Jeff Demps dropped a similar pass early on in the BCS title game against Oklahoma. But our defense showed up that night...unlike the ‘09 Bama game.

Not quite as ignorant as the folks (many of whom are my fellow Vols fans) who say things like "Mullen only won 60% of his games at Miss St, that isn't elite, not impressed." Most people are unable or unwilling to adjust or account for things like how strong the school is resource-wise relative to its competition. You have to do that when evaluating at the college level...it isn't the NFL. It isn't a level playing field. A winning percentage of .600 isn't impressive at Alabama or Ohio St...it's incredible at a place like Miss St.

you’re speaking way too many facts right now my man. That’s frowned upon in these parts

Everytime Addazio is mentioned, all I can think of is this gif from back then
