And for non believers, I setting in the press box at the north end about two rows behind Ollie's group. He has been on his phone and has been called away about five times already. Sounds like hart made contact with Dana's agent and made a sizable offer that was matched late last night, but Dana has rejected it and had decided to go to UT

Post a picture of the press box.

I am sure that I might be in the minority but, I could get behind this hire. If we have a boatload of cash to pay a DC we could be dangerous. Plus Bray, Hunter and CP if by some strange reason all came back. Hold on to your hat!

His offense is Oregon good most of the time. Give him a good DC and defensive talent, and he would be a terror in the SEC.

Not as fast. Streamlined the Air raid stuff. Got rid of mesh. He started adding 21 personnel and a lot of diamond backfield sets. He has made a living off of keeping the box contained with pa. He and Franklin both took the base Air raid/tfs stuff and added quicker tempo and a more concise pass game. His stick/draw and y-cross/screen packages were way ahead of CFB. I'm probably his biggest fan on this board. So, yeah. Agreed on last part.

First off, for people that know wvu, Holgerson is a hell of a coach. His issue this year had been the travel and the impact on his players there first road game was Texas and they won. They got back late sunday and were not ready for a return trip the follow week. From there it just snowballed. He hates the fact that his closet conference opponent is over 1200 miles away. He also had limited funds to hire a dc. He got outbid by clemson for venables and knows that won't happen at UT.

I was told by a friend who's wife works in the athletic department that hart believes his offense is exciting and can beat bama since Kingsbury is a deciple of Dana's. He also believe Dana can get bray, Patterson, and hunter to stay and Dana is also a hell of recruiter in Texas. He has promised resources to get Dana a solid dc staff. He also has a solid Florida recruiter on his staff in Robert Gillespie.

People are also reporting that Dana is bringing a big time Texas qb Childress that will sit out next year and have three years to play once bray leaves

Kliff literally has the same exact package as Holgs. Dana swapped his blocking schemes at Stillwater and started messing with personnel.

I remember them stomping a mudhole in a good Clemson team last year (70pts). In fact, that game pretty much got a good DC (Kevin Steele) fired.

My mother and step father were both born in WV, my niece is a freshman at WVU. So I'm well aware of WVU and their football program. I'm also aware of Holgerson's transgressions at local casinos in WV causing him to be escorted out. He also has yet to quit acting like a frat boy rather than a football coach during games. And that killer offense is highly inconsistent against upper tier defenses. I've watched every single WVU game this year. I can tell you, this guy is NOT SEC ready.

He isn't my first choice & I seem to be in the minority but I would absolutely LOVE Holgerson. (1) The guy could probably lay 30+ on the 85 bears D if he wanted to. (2) He has no family to my knowledge & loves to party...would have tons of time to recruit and recruit hard.

Would have to bring a new DC with him, though.

I would hope not. Holgerson wins his games via offensive shoot out and that strategy typically doesn't work for us.

I'm not buying it. He hired his buddy from Ok State who didn't have DC experience. That's where he got in trouble this season. To go from Venables to a guy with zero experience? Come on man. He's a decent coach and a decent recruiter. Not near what you and some are making him out to be.
