Well he wouldn't have any trouble learning our running play... I mean the whole zone read power option dive spread football play ... U know that one dive play they run... Lol

Oh yeah can't wait to see the second year of that play.. Maybe he lines up on diff side of qb just to fool the def...lol

I kid I kid before Vol fans hang me...

I hate this comparison but the way he runs reminds me of certain rather infamous USC RB.

You're right I mean it's difficult to compare the two but it looks as though Hurd just outruns his competition. He always emerges from the LOS and runs straight 75 yds for a TD. Not sure if he'll be that fast on an SEC field - sure hope so. TK jr reminds me some of EB or even on a lesser scale CP with how fluid his movements are.

That's often because they recruit them at the position they get the most playing time. But it's not always the case. North was mostly a RB his senior year. Who knows whether or not Kelly's HS coach started giving him a lot of reps at RB AFTER he was already committed here?

You don't know...so, your statement is just a mere assumption.

No, no. I do know.

North also played WR at the camps he attended. Kelly plays safety at the camps he attends.

Have you seen his games? He gets a lot of reps at both and he has all the offers to play safety. He's a safety all the way.

It's amazing how he just glides. And I definitely see the CP comparison. CP doesn't look like he's putting in any effort to do what he does and TK Jr. moves the same way. It's a kind of cat-like grace that few runners have.

He's so fast in these highlights it just looks like the video was sped up... Dude is a baller and will be a tremendous safety for us. Look out when he gets a pick, high probability it goes to the house!

I think LSU wanted Marshall Faulk to play safety and that's why he ended up going to San Diego State. I posted a couple months ago that UT might look at him at running back and boy did I get a bunch of experts telling me no way he's safety all the way. Can you imagine the Hurd-Junior attack? I think we'll have plenty of safeties on the team.

He has good blocking too in the video clips. Good blocking is something Tennessee has a difficult time with. If Hurd is going to excel at running back, he is going to need blocking as well.

Inside info -TKjr is going to return punts, play RB and replace Pigger, play FS and get an occasional kickoff return.

Baller.

Meh. Won't matter once they get Hurd to his real, true position where he can really utilize that amazing height..... TE/DE/WR/S/LB
True this

With those long legs they will teach him to punt and that is his REAL future.

:clapping:

I see a lot of EB in the way he moves and also in his size. This may be picky but i think his stride is too long to be an every down RB. Most, not all cause I'm sure people will name drop, RBs have shorter choppier strides. I definitely think he should get time in the offensive backfield tho. A few plays a game. Direct snaps, sweeps, pitches, ect. Either way he's nasty!

Webb is a TSSAA D2 school, which means they play in a "district" with teams from Nashville and West Tennessee. They also played 6A champion Maryville and 4A semifinalist Knoxville Catholic in non-district games. You can attempt to dog east Tennessee "white boy" football all you want, but Kelly's team played a pretty solid scheduled and TK2 is the real deal. His offer list is incredible.
Them some good white boys jimmy

Plans to go into medicine, too (orthopedic surgery), so there's a halfway decent chance that he won't be an off-field flake.

I know we are recruiting him as a safety, but after watching his highlight film, kid's got some skill as a RB, too.

Hope he gets a little look-see from Bajakian....specially if we can't land Derrell Scott.

Gotta love that music.

He reminded me of Emmitt Smith with Willie Gault speed!

Emmitt Smith had a great stiff-arm and almost never took big hits. That's why he stayed healthy for so long. I didn't see one hit layed on TK2 in those highlights when he had the rock. On Defense he was administering the hits though.

This guy can play anywhere in the secondary, backfield or WR. He is going to punish some people on returns and return coverage. A bet he has a tight spiral too.
