Danielson "Butch Jones will have them ready"

Being that you're on the Internet I'm sure you know how to use a search engine...or are you just that lazy? Here's a snippet, you can find more:

UC extended Jones’ contract through 2017 at the end of last season after he reportedly turned down overtures from Illinois, North Carolina and UCLA. His new contract increased his guaranteed annual compensation from $1.1 million to $1.575 million, with annual increases through 2017 when he would be paid $2.05 million in the final year of his contract. The contract includes a $1.4-million buyout if he leaves UC before Jan. 1, 2013.

“I think I’ve proven that I want to be here,” Jones said last year after he agreed to the new contract. “This is a very special place. We’re building something really special here. I ask our players to make a commitment and I need to make a commitment back.”

Butch Jones: Peyton Manning tried to sell me on Colorado four days ago, and I told him, "I want to coach at Tennessee."

While we were offering strong.

Yes. To Bama. We're not Bama.

I agree we are not Bama, but it is still in schools history. Seriously, how many FBS Power 5 schools has Bama put over 700 yards on in one game? How many times has UF allowed near that much? Against anybody. And Bama is good but their oline and team is not quite there yet compared to the last few years.

I think UFs defense is better than what they showed today, but you can't really say any defense is dominant or really good when they give up over 700 yards to anybody

Serious question, too lazy to look it up, and to see which ones are real or not. Do you know how many NCs they claim? Or them and Ohio State claim?

I don't know, off hand. I'm pretty certain they claim their fair share. You don't win that many games without winning some titles.

Recall back in '06 you had both undefeated and UF sort of backdoor'd into the NC game. UF jumped over USC when they lost to UCLA and also jumped Michigan.

I'm sure that's true. If I were an up and coming coach I'd rather coach in the SEC, especially if I'm from East of the Mississippi.

Guys, no one wants to live in shi**y a$$ weather playing against inferior competition year in and year out. That conference is a joke and it is very difficult to get the best players in the nation to come up north. Worry more about UF, UM is not a concern.

Trust me, I hope UF gives Muschamp a 10 year extension. However, he is gone after this year imo. I never thought that would be a good fit.

Sat, Oct 4 Tennessee *
Knoxville, TN

Sat, Oct 11 LSU *

Sat, Oct 18 Missouri (Homecoming) *

I see 3-4 wins on their schedule. Muschamp is gone.

Lets do a kick starter were we offer to pay lifetime contracts for Richt and Muschump. I think the entire sec would pitch in.

You mean the guys where 1 is 9-4 against UT and the other is 3-0?

I absolutely do. Beating us the last couple of years isn't much to brag about. If those two coaches stay, CBJ will have us in the SECCG soon.

He may even do it this season.

I'll believe it when I see it. UT had UGA beat last year and allowed them to drive down the field and score a TD to tie the game.

And UT had its best shot in a long time last season against UF when they brought in a QB that hadn't taken a snap.

The east is wide open, and we are playing our best football in a long time. We had UGA on the ropes. Mizzou is down. We best a USC team that was better than this years USC team.

Of course we aren't the favorites, but I think we can pull it out.

I'm a Butch fan and I do think he's doing a good job. But great PR and great recruiting don't get you paid. Wins get you paid. When we start competing for championships, then he'll get his money.

Uh, that's not true:

1 Oklahoma 562
2 Nebraska 545
3 Ohio State 527
4 Texas 525
5 Alabama 515
6 Michigan 500
7 Southern Cal 498
8 Tennessee 494
9 Florida 489
10 Notre Dame 484

I think the actual story has been misquoted some.

About 2006 I heard that since 1926 (the General's first year) to that date, Tennessee was the winningest program in college football.

I believe that is true if you adjust for Bamas vacated wins. Otherwise UT was second with 630 wins to Bama's 636.

Anyway, from there I think it got shortened to "UT is the winningest program of all time."
