I have gone back and watched, listened to him and he praises everything about Bama's players. Quick feet, you would think Gibbs ran for 300 yards and we outgunned them on the ground. Then the impeccable decisions of Young, his ability to see all that is going on, over and over. Hooker had a great game, great game. He says a few nice things about Hooker but you would think Bama was ahead by 20 points and Hooker had a mediocre game compared to Young. Sickening. I take nothing from Young or Gibbs, Danielson is awful. You would think he graduated from Bama or was being paid by them. JMHO

He's been awful for as long as I can remember. Can't even bother to get our players' names right either. So far this year, I've heard him call our QB:

"Hayden Hooker"
"Hendon Hookie"
"Hayden Hernden"

Gibbs is good, Bryce is even better, and he said as many good things about Hooker and Hyatt as he did those two.

I would be willing to bet bammer fans are saying the exact opposite of you

Im not a big fan of him either but you have to admit Gibbs and Young did some amazing things to keep the plays alive. Bottom line good guys won.

I do think he was better. Not gonna hate on him but I don’t especially LIKE him. I think he’s a “fan”, has his likes and preferences, and has trouble holding in his comments and focusing too much on his “team of the week”. Most of them are biased in some way.

I finally watched the broadcast last night and was amazed at how much more balanced the commentating was. It was an incredible match up with talented players on both sides, and I thought they did a good job.

Danielson coverage is for his preferred team, not the game. He's clearly an advocate, not an announcer. He clearly doesn't care for the Vols. Vols fans should lampoon Danielson's bias with signs if he covers a game. Maybe humiliation would make him a more attuned to his situation.

Never questioned if Gibbs is good or Young's ability, I just didn't hear the same praise for Hooker. He said some good things but seemed to gush over Bama. JMO.

The CBS contract with the SEC cannot end soon enough, their approach to the conference football telecasts has been disgraceful, simply focusing on Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Texas A & M for the 3:30 slot and relegating everybody else to scheduling fodder for ESPN and the SEC network. While the sh7tsh0w at Tennessee over the last decade hasn't made for good football television, the objectivity from Verne Lundquist and Danielson vanished years ago, the broadcast product would be better if managed from Charlotte and the SEC Network than from a biased worn out legacy network that thinks SEC football is simply outdoor ACC basketball, biases included.
