Danny Kanell picks UK to win and the under

I don't the paid gum flapper. But in the SEC, anything can happen. Just ask Bama, and even Texas. Personal Take: I believe the Wildcats are basically, a demoralized team right now. I question if Stoops is even welcome in the UK locker room at this point. I think they are further demoralized by the fan base oin general, giving up on them.

That said, these times that try the souls of kittens. In such times, men, whether an army, a nation, or a bunch of untamed felines, can drag themselves. Brush off the dirt, wipe the muck off their hands, grit their teeth, and decide to do or die. Never underestimate a seemingly defeated foe. Even when outgunned, fatigued, short-handed, even leaderless. Just ask the WWI era Lost Battalion, or WWI era Hellfighters. There are times the tiniest spark of pride can result in an unprecedented fighting spirit.

I believe our team can, and will curb stomp the Kentucky stray Fells, but beware of presumptive and overconfident arrogance.

The key in games like this, the #1 priority is to never give them any belief they have a prayer of winning. Start fast, get the Neyland crowd even more lathered up and rocking, and have this thing wrapped before the half. Letting a hurt opponent hang around into the 4th quarter is a recipe for disaster.

We're gonna skull drag UK. It isn't gonna be pretty. They looked completely dead vs a hapless Auburn team for crying out loud, a week after getting throttled by Florida.
I agree 100%. I believe the Offense is going to make a statement early and often. It will not even surprise me if they take the ball rather that defer if we win the coin toss. Mildcats will be mildkittens by halftime, so it will not matter.

Agree. Just the same, I'm saying watch the arrogance and overconfidence. It has been the downfall of the mighty more than once.

We're a joke at 7?! Haven't allowed 20 points all year. He had us under 9 wins preseason btw

FSU is 1-7. He's salty about that and baseball still 😎

Josh Pate has us as one of his best bets at -15.5.
Josh Pate also has AL and Ole Piss ahead of us in his playoff power ratings. Teams with two losses with AL losing the head to head. I quit listening after that.

Oh, no doubt. Treat it like the rivalry game it is purported to be and take them out early. Keeping the 'phony piped in sound' Neyland crowd into it right out of the gate is vital.

Says we are a joke at #7 and Stoops will get us. Anyone else see him on CBS sports today? I never liked him before anyway
I doubt any Bama and UF fans think we are very funny! ;)

Ole Danny boy apparently hasn't been paying attention to our defense, which is the best in the country IMO. He also apparently isn't paying attention to our running game and the fact that Auburn's running game ran all over KY last week. Our running game will ride them down like grass.

Great news - means we will break fifty tomorrow and Nico will be throwing darts. Thanks Danny !!
Realize he is just trying to be relevant, but makes himself look STOOPID !

"Kanell's style aligns with the trend of delivering attention-grabbing "hot takes" which can be entertaining but may not always be based on thorough analysis."

Danny Kanell is, well, Danny Kanell. lol He just hates the SEC. I can't tell if he does it simply for the trolling because it seems like he has a deep-rooted hatred for the conference. He went to FSU and is a big FSU homer. He blew his gasket after their situation last season. haha

is that Pat Forde's boyfriend?
Most likely - sad part is about 10 to 15 years ago, BOTH Kanell and Forde were legit, solid reporters that based opinions in facts and did research.
I remember Kanell used to be a highlight visitor on the ol' Mike & Mike show.

Boy, have times changed...wouldn't give you a plugged nickel for either one's opinion now.

Kanell is a tool.

But history should makes us all a bit concerned. The lead-up to this one sounds and feels a lot like the 2022 South Carolina game: the opponent looking very mediocre; the other team’s fanbase largely expecting a superior Tennessee team to roll, and a lot to play for. We all know how that turned out.

Additionally, we laid one of the largest eggs ever after a bye week earlier this season, losing to an Arkansas team that we should have thumped by 10+ points.

Tennessee should roll. But we have a habit of rescuing opposing coaches in the hotseat and making back-up or freshman QBs for the other team look spectacular. I’m hoping that the second half of the Bummer game was a sign that our offense is going to snap back to life.

Plus, Gerald Mincey’s mouth needs to get shut.

Just win, baby.
If History is the concern, our history says we beat KY no matter what.

The stupid part of this is that UK's O simply cannot move the ball or score... and will face the best D they've seen all year. And UK is not getting better. They're in game 9 trying to figure out if they need to swap QBs. Historically what sustained them was being able to run the ball and burn clock. They don't have a good OL and do not have near the talent at RB they've had in past years. They've coupled that with a D that was good at stopping the run. They're currently the 12th run D in the SEC.

If UT's O sputters... it gets ugly and UT wins. If UT's O keeps developing... it gets ugly and UT wins by A LOT.

Not sure what Kanell's agenda is... other than to make some wild predictions in hopes of catching up to the other guy on that show.

I truly believe we need style points to impress the committee. We should beat Kentucky, but the score needs to be 41-10 ish. To help the narrative that we fixed our offense.
Wouldn't hurt but if the D keeps playing like it has then those style points should count for a lot.

Could UT lose to the blue Stoopers? EHhhh Yes but I just don't see it with the cat team coming into Neyland this Saturday. Stoops is now 0-3 against Heupel and has lost with a ball control game plan once in 2022 along with two higher scoring shootout type games in 2021 & 2023. I am still amazed that Stoops managed to lose that game during Heupel's first season in 2021 in Lexington. Heupel has his number guys. Additionally, this KY team is spiraling downward big time.
