South Carolina and Arkansas were on the road. Heupel’s team have not traveled that well but the record at home speaks for itselfKanell is a tool.
But history should makes us all a bit concerned. The lead-up to this one sounds and feels a lot like the 2022 South Carolina game: the opponent looking very mediocre; the other team’s fanbase largely expecting a superior Tennessee team to roll, and a lot to play for. We all know how that turned out.
Additionally, we laid one of the largest eggs ever after a bye week earlier this season, losing to an Arkansas team that we should have thumped by 10+ points.
Tennessee should roll. But we have a habit of rescuing opposing coaches in the hotseat and making back-up or freshman QBs for the other team look spectacular. I’m hoping that the second half of the Bummer game was a sign that our offense is going to snap back to life.
Plus, Gerald Mincey’s mouth needs to get shut.
Just win, baby.
This game is really nothing like either the 2022 South Carolina game or this year's Arkansas game for just one basic reason .... it's in Neyland.Kanell is a tool.
