^ Rotten Tomatoes is basically an average of every major reviewer in the media. So I tend to like the Tomato-meter.
I need to see it again. I was extremely tired and had trouble staying awake after the hospital scene. That's just because of me though. And the fact that the theater I was in was like a freakin' sauna. Me and all 15 people I went with came out drenched in sweat.
Heath Ledger as the Joker, though... Will go down as one of the better film villains of all time, though. His character was two-dimensional, created entirely as a metaphor. The yin to Batman's yang, with only one motivation. He had no arcs, no valleys. And Ledger gave him so much depth, but kept him so mysterious. Not to mention absolutely stealing the screen. I remember multiple occasions going "I want to see the Joker again. Now."
Great, great movie. Ledger is as of now a shoe-in for best supporting, and the movie will get a well-deserved best film nom.
