The only two things I can think of off hand is the field or Butch getting a contract extension maybe?

Probably a banner hanging ceremony for SEC East Runner Up Champs ha..

No but really...everybody gets a trophy.

Lot of external interest in our head ball coach. Likely pay raise, extension. And new title as chief groundskeeper.

But seriously....why Rick Barnes AND Butch Jones? If it were football related, why is Rick Barnes there? And obviously it isn't basketball related (1st year coach at the start of his first season), so why is Rick Barnes there?!?

Some possibilities:

1. New community initiative involving both the basketball and football programs, like a Big Brother outreach with the city of Knoxville.

2. Hart retiring. The two coaches appearing to send the "continuity through change" message.

3. Highest combined B-Ball/Football APR in history, so they're celebrating it big-time.

4. Marquez North is the starting center effective immediately, but he's out for the next 10 games due to undisclosed injury reportedly involving the lower back.

5. Butch and Barnes are swapping places for a year, to see how it works out.

Could be something else, though.

My sources tell me that Dave Hart will announce Neyland is getting field turf. The current grass on the field is being moved into TBA for an experimental grass surface on the basketball court.

How can that be when Dave Hart has already said that he prefers grass over turf??

3. Talk about the VT Bristol Speedway game with new coach
4. Talk about the allegations of Barnes (just an update)
5. Talk about how Hart might be in the running for the new Texas AD.

No offense dude but as soon as I read "My sources" I knew this post was a joke!

State of the program. Extension. Losing a key assistant and potentially a lesser liked position coach.
