Of course there was no offer. But he was much higher on the list there than is commonly believed. He wasn't their number two on the list, either, but they definitely knew how much money it would take to get him to make a move. The same could be said for several other candidates they vetted.

It's a moot point. He's our coach and he's going to be our coach. His agent shut down the Virginia Tech talk early on, despite his former AD from Cincinnati being there and being very interested in making him an offer.
