Assuming everything was factual, there was a whole lot of information in that press conference. I feel a little better now.

How many of the people on here praising Hart's performance were backing Dooley 6 weeks ago? To me, he doesn't sound that much different and he's given me nothing to lead me suspect he won't fail as well.

I for one quit backing Dooley after the Florida game. But I also recognize that Hart did not hire Dooley and will certainly give him the chance and support unless he, as Dooley did, proves himself incompetent for his position.

I bet Hart is hearing it from all directions...top to bottom from all fans. I think he fully understands the issue at hand and that the next HC will probably defy his career. I don't see a rush in making a decision like with Dooley but one that has to be made shortly with the bowl picture and recruiting around the corner. This will be UT's biggest hire in decades.

Said he will hire someone who has had success and is a proven HC. Thats better than anything our last AD did.

For everyone throwing Hart in the ground, I bet I can some up in five words what Mike Hamilton would have said...... " we'll, uh, uh, you see...." With no hope of having a bright future ahead. Hart has a plan, and just because he didn't give full details and names today doesn't mean chat. Let him do the job he has success with!

I loved his qualities for the new coach:
Has to know how to be successful/ had previous success
Know difficulty of climbing the ladder in the SEC
Have integrity- that is the #1 need of our athletic department.

No more Kiffin type of guys- continue with Dooley's integrity in the next coach- but get one who can coach these boys.

Too bad he sounded like a bored old guy while he was saying it.

I'm not sure I would have been impressed if he would have said "fo' shizzle." I'll take his boring talk because it seemed to make sense to the non-Jersey Shore crowd.
