What is there to get over, Gruden never intented on coming here he is one more time PRO coach the fan base got all pumped up started hollering Chuckie is coming to town, the same thing will happen again in 3 years if we dont get a proven College Coach, the right guy can turn this around quick, not a OC or DC LIKE Smart.:good!:IMHO, Dave Hart has done nothing to manage fanbase expectations on this hire.
In fact, his during his one moment to inform the fanbase what was going to happen, to me, was nothing but an extended way of saying, "Don't worry, guys. I'm not going to hire Kirby Smart like I was when I first arrived...." I'll be honest, I'm not convinced this won't happen.
If any of what Clay Travis writes in the opening of his Friday mailbag is true, I don't see Hart being around long enough to actually make the next hire.
I've been dubious on Hart from the beginning. I think I'm still in the denial phase, and I'm hoping all of this is still a smokescreen. It might still come good?
But right now I feel like the fourth quarter of the Florida game; I feel like making some real smokescreens with a few old mattresses right now.
The fans started all this Gruden stuff wish his wife had been a vandy cheerleader instead of UT.
It's all Hart's fault Gruden didn't want to come here.
Yea its all Hart's fault that a guy getting payed 4 million plus a year in a zero stress job commentating football turned down a high pressure, time consuming college job for tops 6 million a year (he should not have been offered more than that imo). Gruden was a long shot. I turned down a job offer for more money last week because I knew that it wasn't worth it in the long run. Everyone makes that decision at some point in time. I'm glad if Gruden wasn't 100% on board with the job that he said no. With that said how many times did Saban say publicly that he would not leave Miami for Bama or Urban say he wouldn't leave ESPN for Ohio State. I've given up on Gruden coming but you never know.
No No No... He should have a press conference. To tell every single one of you Grudenites that haven't slept in 3 weeks and have not seen the sun in that time. That you are all stupid...
Define "legitimate information". Haha random people on a message board is not legitimate. Pick your head up, put on your big boy pants and continue your life! You got played by "OG's" that we're random people who are now nowhere to be found! None of that was legitimate! Good grief this fan base is idiotic!NO!
We had legitimate information that the boosters were making this kind of high profile, home run hire possible.
We know there was reciprocated interest.
What we are hearing now is that Hart said "NO!" If he did, he had better have the freakin' clone of Neyland on tap and ready to lead us not just to SECChampionships, but crystal footballs.

You know what? If that's the case, that's fine.
There is a WORLD of difference between the way the Arky AD has handled their coaching search and the way Hart has handled ours.
The only thing I can say is pathetic, simply pathetic. The mainstream media have all said he wasn't coming all along.
Thread ignore engage.....
Or people on a message board could have thought logically and not emotionally, restrained their imaginations, and saved themselves from "embarrassment".
