Dawg Fans Talking Smack

Georgia's confident because they have depth. Depth that most teams don't have. The Heupel genius is playing fast and making their depth sit on the bench gathering dust. The test then becomes, can your *now* lack of depth compete with our speed? Hanging 52 on Bama says no.
Good point. The more I look at all aspects of his system the more I marvel at the simple brilliance of it.

I want that 90's domination over them to return and watch them live in misery.
Probably not going to happen they actually have a pretty good coach and are the in state school of one of the most fertile recruiting areas in the country. I want to beat the pups ass every year but 50/50 is a win for us too

I disagree a little. Everyone sees our offense as an unstoppable machine. Everyone still thinks our defense will fail us at some point. I don't particularly want to play Bama three times this year because that game could have gone either way and might with multiple attempts to prep for us. Not scared I just think part of our edge is preparing for us that first time. It is not repeatable in their practice imo.

Oh, I agree on the need to shore up our Defense - it is NOT where our Offense is but is getting better. We definitely need to patch that massive hole in our secondary. Once Tilman comes back, it should help our O be even more dynamic.

I dont think anyone wants a replay of that Bama game - but GA might be just that close as well.

One of more comical things. Georgia still points to that dismantling of Oregon. Great win no one will argue that. However all of us in SEC country see how bad Auburn is and Bo Nix wasnt good enough to continue there and keep his job and yet he is Oregons QB1 for that beat down and he was less than pedestrian. Bulldogs are in for a war in November whether they believe it or not. We ain't Oregon and Hendon Hooker is not Bo Nix.
So is the Oregon a great win or not? You seem to say it is then argue for why it isn't.

I’ve seen a lot of trash talk from UGA fans the past few days, from people on Facebook to Uncle Lou. It started before this weekend, but it’s really picked up since beating ‘Bama. We are in their heads, big time.

It’s interesting because there are also Dawg fans who are rejoicing to see Bama go down. I think the paradox can be explained this way:

They’ve been on the cusp for 3-5 years and finally got over the hump in last year’s National Championship Game. Now they’re expecting to be the new king of the mountain when the Tide “rolls” out. They likely see our win as a harbinger of Alabama’s impending downfall.

They’re talking trash at us, though, because they’re scared. Our win Saturday may prove to be a harbinger of Bama’s downfall and it may not, but it is most certainly a sign that UT is back. Heupel has done in a year and a half with one full recruiting class what it took Kirby 5 years and multiple top 5 classes to do.

Suddenly their heir apparent status is in question. The writing is on the wall: they will not, in fact, be the “next Bama.” They will, going forward, have to scrap and claw for every shot at the SEC and National Championship, and they better get us this year, because it won’t get any easier.

Know this: if we beat UGA on November 5, the meltdown will be absolutely epic. I think they will take it even worse than the Alabama fanbase has, because Alabama has had their day (read: decade) in the sun. In the minds of UGA’s fans, this is supposed to be their moment. If we beat them, it will mean that at best, they are going to have to share the spotlight; at worst, UT is on the way to putting them back in the position of little brother in the East.

I hope they enjoyed it last year.

GBO.

They can talk all the smack they want but no doubt, them A holes be very very tight right now…….

Dog fans are always talking smack, even when they have bad teams. I admit that Small has recruited very well and they will be a big test for our VOLS, but the game aint over until its over.

Absolutely. Here I am in Kentucky listening to CAT fans talk about how overconfident the Vols will be, and how bad they will beat our a$$es.

If you really think UGA is scared of us then I have a bridge to sell you. I do think we stand a good chance of beating them. But it’s going to be exponentially tougher than Bama.

They like talking. And much like their ancestors, they also like running away.
To bad Bevo didn’t stomp his ugly ass

I don't have the time right now per say to go find the evidence I have personally seen, but I can pull some quotes I remember real quick.

"Tennessee is ovverrated, they barely beat mediocre Alabama, Pitt, and Florida teams, Dawgs by two touchdowns"

"I guess the AP pollsters haven't seen Tennessee's defense. Not sure why they think they're number 3"

"We will torch Tennessee's defense and win by three scores or more, because we're simply the better team"

"Tennessee will lose to Kentucky in 2 weeks, that's the best bet of the season, Kentucky is way better and I am worried about them more than I am UT JR."
Mediocre teams like Bama, Pitt, Florida and LSU lolol

Everyone is mediocre except the Dawgs 🤣

So is the Oregon a great win or not? You seem to say it is then argue for why it isn't.
It is as they will be no less than a 9 win team maybe more from a power 5. Yet we all know that Georgia isn't the only team that could have demolished that team that night. Maybe not defensive clamps but we could have lit that scoreboard up. I give Georgia credit for playing that kind of game. It is capped though. Same as Pitt is for Tennessee. Yes going to a ranked team in power 5s home stadium and getting a win amounts for alot but you can't get carried away and say the other big 3 or 4 teams in SEC wouldn't have walked out of Pittsburgh with a win also. Does that make sense?

You'll get no trash talk from me. I don't expect Tennessee to beat Georgia but I'm well aware the Vols are capable of winning.
Likewise, I don’t expect Georgia to beat Tennessee as we have the better resume up to this point. However, before we can find out, the Vols need to take care of Kentucky and Georgia needs to take care of Florida. We’ll get our answer in due time.

Kirby isn’t that great of a coach, he just played the Saban recruiting game early and got more talent than anyone else. He wins off sheer speed and muscle.

Good coaches aren’t losing to our 3 win 2020 team at halftime with ABSURDLY more talent in year 5. Good coaches aren’t getting outschemed by Mizzou for 3.5 quarters.

Heupel is the definition of a good coach, he makes his team play like they were Top 5 recruiting classes when they weren’t.

Its nice to have a fat man coaching UT again.

Yeah I have been going to war with those boneheads on facebook the past couple of days....They are so scared!....They should be, We are coming to Athens and looking to knock thier door down and win the SEC east title....Wouldn't that be something??...but first UT martin must be disposed of and then the shortbus from Lexington comes to K-town and they too must be destroyed.
