It did not say it had loads of relevance. It is the only series that yearly puts top drivers form all areas of racing together in a common car. What is that little saying? Put the contenders on a level playing field and the cream rises to the top.

Put them all in open wheel common cars and see what happens...

The fact that open wheels guys HAVE won in IROC is amazing in itself.

Danny freakin' Lasoski led every lap of an IROC race a few years ago at Texas, if I remember correctly.

I do not watch IROC. I get tired of watching the NASCAR boys of so little talent dominate your "gifted" drivers.

When they run at places like Daytona and Talladega where the Nascar guys gang up on the Indy Car guys in the draft, of course the Nascar guys are going to dominate. Let's put them in open wheel cars on a road course and see what happens. While we're at it, let's invite Shoemacker and Alonzo to participate.

That would've been a lot of fun, seeing the F1 champion running in IROC.

I believe I read that due to scheduling conflicts it was unfeasible.

The drivers I have heard would rather run without restrictor plates. NASCAR purposely keeps speed down to keep a car from getting into the stands. What was your point, by the way???

Guys listen. I do not come on here trying to preach about NASCAR drivers having more talent than any other series' drivers. I just try to keep idiots like "Loozer" from downplaying the fact that ALL series' own drivers are very talented. Show me some results that show ,as a whole, that NASCAR drivers are less talented that your boys. It cant be done, period. IROC is the closest thing to a measuring stick we can use and ,like you, I believe the results are skewed because of the cars and tracks that were used in the series. It was an unfair advantage, I agree. What else is there? Nothing. But I am not going to listen to Doozers idiotic remarks without saying something back!!!!

They slow the cup cars for fan safety. you don't think they consider fan safety in the IRL? hell, i guess they should just take the fences down.

safety reasons cover everybody. not just drivers and not just fans.
