Never said there wasn’t examples of people that did it. However that was 40 years ago. Times they are a changing. Don’t think it’s very feasible nowVFL Willie Gault?
Even tho he didn't get to compete because the '80 Olympics were being hosted by the dirty Ruskis. Who some have decided are good now, somehow. But that's a different convo.
It's actually fairly common even today but I agree with you in principle. I wouldn't want to invest too much into a kid who wasn't totally dedicated to football. That's not to say he won't end up giving his all in both but it seems with the rumors of trying to protect his body for track and what not he's more focused on the track.Never said there wasn’t examples of people that did it. Idk, believe LSU had a player that was a huge track star semi recently. I do think it probably makes both paths more challenging. This kid seems to only be using football as a means to an end.Never said there wasn’t examples of people that did it. However that was 40 years ago. Times they are a changing. Weird for a guy with his physical traits. Big for a sprinter. Perfect size for a football player.
Just meant competing in both. Olympics are only for the best among them. I don’t think doing one would necessarily adversely affect the other, it’s just a matter of how much dedication is prioritized with each. Don’t see it as a realistic path for Harbor.Calling it fairly common is a stretch. Are there athletes that run in qualifiers? Yes. Do they train at an Olympic level? Probably not. Not saying there aren’t people that can do it. Just saying that those that can are in the top .01% of athletes. People dedicate their lives to training for the Olympics now. At least if they want a realistic shot at competing
Sam Graddy also did both. He didn't accomplish much in the NFL, but hung around for a few seasons.Kid is of the same class as Eryyin Knighton.
Also a 4 star WR until he realized he was the fastes under 18 sprinter in the world, and then went pro.
Harbor needs to focus on track.
Jeff Demps
Trindon Holiday
Anthony Shawrtz
Xavier Carter were all capable of more had they just stuck to track.
Jabari Greer, Willie Gault, and Bullet Hayes are the only professional Football players that also were elite track and field guys that I can think of....
