I thought they did away with those counting “tricks” and it was just a hard 25-player limit per class?

They have for the most part, but there are fudge places. Late enrollees can still be utilized, these are typically called PWOs these days. I'm not sure about the back counting, but I thought that loophole had been mostly closed.

Either way, the numbers game is less important. BJ used that Carmelo Anthony, just shoot until you make it, the misses don't count. Except they eventually did. I'd rather JP sign 22 hits like last year than 25 or even 28 with 19 hits and 8 misses. That being said, based upon previous recruiting results, I'm just gonna enjoy the show and not worry about it a lick. He got this.

We all have opinions. I just felt this kid, with our coaches, could have been something special. Not so sure he's find that at FL. No offense to their coaches, but when it comes to DBs, I have much respect for Pruitt and Ansley.

Agreed..... but they will get players like him so I'm just going to see who is still on the list as we mark off the ones not coming.

If I remember correctly this guy was waaaayyy into track and field, which means TN and FLA were competitive. For him it was maybe splitting hairs. So he flipped to FLA. BFD. his decision......my hope is he regrets it but I doubt it. Next man up. You win some, you lose some.
