'20 DC FS Mordecai McDaniel (FL commit)

AP and JS are pretty adamant that McDaniel is higher on the board than Johnson. Who knows if they actually know that or not.

I spent a good amount of time looking at what our class could look like come February. Obviously a long way to go, but I think if we win 7+ this year we are top 10. This could be the best class we have had since Fulmer.

The few questions I have are:
- Who do we turn to if we miss on Dumervil and Morris? We have no solid Plan B at tackle, and that is already a thin position for us.
- Who are we looking at for our second RB? It has long been thought we are trying to get a smaller, explosive complement to Hodge. Has the emergence of Gray reduced that need?

The board is pretty well set at every other position. We are favored or in really solid position with top recruits for all the remaining spots except RB and OT.

Agree with this. I wonder if they’re looking at Whitehead at RB. Doesn’t fit the smaller explosive profile but like you said, maybe Gray has changed that.

Really think you need to take at least 2 RB's in every class, especially in a physical league like the SEC where they get so banged up. Not sure who RB2 is on their board since it looks like Ty Jordan is likely going to Texas.

I think they may be looking for someone to emerge during the season, or maybe Whitehead. Seems they want athletes that they will determine which side of the ball when they arrive.

Really excellent work. Might I ask how long it takes to put together something like this? I am not interested in doing it, but I am curious as to the amount of time you have to devote to it.

if i've got a pretty solid idea what i'm after (like i did with this one) it can be pretty quick. 20 minutes maybe? cutting the players out from their background is usually the most tedious, time-consuming part. Keep that in mind on Wednesday 😳

After watching both guys film there is no comparison between the two athletically... and I'm a fan of Johnson. McDaniel has a higher ceiling than just about any DB in this class IMO.

And I agree with you on OT recruiting. Hard to believe there are no real options out there and the idea of going after NY JUCO's is scary. Sam Pittman watch will be starting come January IMO.

Huge. Would be a big-time pickup. He has been one of the top 3 DB's on our board all along.
yep, everybody that's talked about this prospect, both RC and AP on the radio today, has said we got in on him early, and have had him up at the top since hte beginning.

fast, long, physical and a good overall athelete. wondering why his rating is what it is? i don't really care, just a curiousity more than anything.
