Tn recruited about the same before the NIL except for a couple of years, I know Tn is suppose to have the best NIL out there but it does not match up with recruiting. Maybe its just me. I just figured if our NIL is so good then why are we not ranked in the top 5-8. This has nothing to do with Seaton. After watching his interview ,he is where he belongs. He will be a cancer and in the portal next year.

This recruitment ended pretty much exactly as I thought it would. Not necessarily with him committing to Colorado, but... just really really weird finish.

Go back and read alllll his quotes. He consistently refers to himself as an excellent player, a 5 star talent, xyz. In retrospect, it really mirrors everything sanders believes about himself. Maybe it's not as weird when you start digging.

Wanting to play for a black HC as a black kid is not racist. It’s not really something a lot of people can understand that’s ok to not be able to relate.

Is it short sighted and probably a bad choice for his career? Yes, I think so but we all have to make our choices.

Idk. You got the best QB prospect in two decades last cycle. Five star WR out of Georgia, #1 overall player out of Alabama, and a top five Oline class this year. Without NIL I think Tennessee wouldn’t have a lot of those this year. I do think we need to take another step forward but in the past we weren’t even in on as many big time recruits

You don't make any sense .... There is no proof that Tennessee was outbid. It's what you want to believe. But what you want to believe doesn't jive with what Seaton just said.

Any Caucasians trying to analyze and get indignant over Seaton's reasons should just take a chill pill. Deion is selling a bill of goods that none of you has to subscribe to, but it is foolish to think it does not have appeal for some.

It certainly does. Take a look at the list of top recruiters, there's a disproportionately high number of black coaches. A lot of the players are obviously black, 56% of NFL players are. White coaches cannot relate to black players the same way that black coaches can. It's not racist, it's just 2 different cultures and walks of life. When I think of Tennessee's good recruiters over the years a few that come to mind are Gillespie, Thigpen, Tee Martin, Moose (only bc he was handing out mcdonalds bags of $), Rodney Garner, etc.

Edit: Didn't realize he outright said that he wanted to play for Deion bc Deion is black. That statement actually is racist. I thought it was just assumed.

I keep thinking how shocked Seaton is gonna be when he sees the white coaches on the staff, or his white teammates. What about the fact the Colorado AD, Deion's direct boss, is a white guy?
