Apply this argument to interviewing for a job. If someone else is chosen, you didn’t lose the job. You lost the opportunity to continue to interview for the job - the only thing you actually had.

When a recruit picks another school, you lose the opportunity to continue to show them why they should come to your school, bc that’s all you had. Never had a commitment = never had the recruit. Thus you cannot lose them.

A job application turns into a competition. Correct? Yes. Each applicant competes against the other applicants. Somebody wins the competition. Correct? Yes. The others lose it. You can talk however you choose, but you might want to drop the ridiculous grammar police routine.

I'm not trying to score points with this, but people should read for the purpose of understanding what the writer is trying to say. I get that folks like to object to each other around here. but they should try to understand before trying to object. That is kind of a pet peeve of mine, and you walked into it.

Which is surprising that people pay for their information
Their information is literally about as much as anyone here knows.

I'm talking On3 + 247 + VQ. That's where 90%+ of the info here comes from. And some folks, adults, actually pay for it, compensating those folks for their work, and share it.

Everyone else takes it for free and then wonders why someone pays for it...as they sit here begging for more info 😔

The irony runs deep here.
