'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

i just think it's hard to say given the whole set of circumstances. it was a whole lot of "new" on the offense this year, and what was crazy to me was the expectation level that it was just gonna look like last year, even if not AS productive. and we still won 8 games and flipped the script on the style this offense played with. i think the staff actually did a pretty good job all things considered.

we "got thru" 23 to get to 24 and beyond. i still think CJH has a firm grip on the offense. and i think losing CAG was significant, but not something we couldn't/can't/didn't overcome.

with the offensive talent we're set to bring and have over the next few years, you'd think that should be the tell tale.
This theory that we "flipped the script on the style this offense played with" is BS. We had more running plays than passing plays in 2022, just like we did in 2023. The major thing that changed in 2023 was that our passing game was FAR less productive due to Milton being, to characterize it charitably, an average quarterback. Our running game was more efficient in 2023. It's a damn good thing it was, or we would have barely scored at all.

i just think he likes the attention. it has a shelf life and he's maximizing it. Money, i don't think, is gonna be an issue for him.
It may be attention seeking but I think that people around him thought they could get more money but I think it will actually cost him money based on what he was offered before committing to Colorado. It's business but they need to remember if you disrespect someone they aren't going to pony up the money that was offered before.

Yea we will be fine moving forward. My only point was its not all on the QB for the "limitations" of the offense. We regressed in other areas too. And I guess I was the only person who thought the play calling was off at times this year.

Despite all of that we finished 40th in scoring and 17th in yards per game. 46th in passing and 11th and rushing. Looking forward to the Nico era.

No I agree with that.... Most of my issues with play calling came with situational decisions on 3rd and 4th down short yardage...I think add the year went along and we got healthier on the o line, we tailored the play calling more towards our strengths.

I think the biggest issue was the lack of execution in the passing game overall for all the reasons already mentioned.
