???? No I said wildly throwing money around isn’t the answer. See Aggies! What does that have to do with our coaching staff? I didn’t say we don’t need a strong NIL. We do, but you do your homework on your targets before wildly throwing money like it’s candy. Again see the Aggies! That goes for coaches and players. See the Aggies! Bring home the Big Seat! GBO!So you are saying we have an incompetent coaching staff?
TAMU is a bad example because Jimbo and his staff are incompetent. But think about it. If the #1 rated OL isn’t worth throwing money at, then who is? I know we aren’t gonna “overpay” for a recruit but don’t you think a player of this caliber is worth it? Why shouldn’t we drop the big bag for a player of this caliber??????? Your missing the point, I am saying when you invest that kind of money you don’t throw it at players with red flags. Jimbo and A@M are the prime example because they did a poor job of evaluating character and the players desire to work at getting better. There is nothing wrong with getting the best NIL deals with talented players. But if you blindly give it on hype and stars alone and you don’t factor in desire and character of the person your investing in you end up just like the Aggies. They threw crazy money at Jimbo just like they spent wildly on NIL. Had they managed better they could have had much better results.TAMU is a bad example because Jimbo and his staff are incompetent. I totally agree, I believe he is one of the rare that is capable of starting very early. Super strong for his age with great size and moves well. All in on the Big Seat! If we land him along with the rest of our O-line haul we will have done very well on the O-line and the future will look much better. GBOOn paper I'd be most worried about Ohio State considering they had 3 OLineman drafted last year. But he doesn't seem interested in making a visit up there after us. So that is huge to me. I think he sees the opportunity here. In our offense. He can be an immediate starter. And to play behind an elusive dual threat QB like Nico and an effective run game will be exciting. He will face less crowded boxes at UT, so just need to dominate his guy.
Assuming for argument’s sake the worst case happens as far as returning players, and the big 4 all go to the NFL. Then envision this:If he’s out starting OT next year, then expect growing pains. I think he will be very good, but true freshman OT’s don’t usually play well against seasoned SEC players that have been through many seasons of S&C
